Title: New Guy on Day 3
Post by: Ace121x on November 12, 2013, 12:58:00 PM
I have been a frequent tobacco user for 10 years. I used everyday and up to a can a day until 3 days ago. I threw my last 1/2 a can in the trash and here I am, sitting at my computer shaking, heart racing, pretty much a mess. I have anxiety issues as well and they are not helping in any way, shape, or form. I am going to prove to myself once and for all I can beat this bitch.

Nicotine is a problem. Anxiety issues and countless other life events are problems too. Adding nicotine to any life problem = two problems. Fight through this. Get back into Live Chat if you can.

Nice job posting roll. I grinded for the first few days too. Once I found this place, everything became much easier and made more sense. Spend as much time as you can on here for a while.
You are doing this. You fight through today. Then, we start again tomorrow.
Proud to be quit with you.

Hey bud, from one flatlander to another check your Inbox (1) above for a PM from me. In that message you will find my phone number. I see you are struggling and if not for other quitters on here early in my quit my resolve would have been shit. The good news for you is that I am close enough to physically help you out. The bad news for you is that I am physically close enough to help you out...

The ball is in your court, I am here to help take my hand let beat this shit together!

That is how it is done. Keep on quitting. The nic is almost entirely out of your system now. That is a huge victory. When was the last time you could say that?
Congratulations. Keep your word today, and we shall see you at roll call tomorrow.

I am liking this Shawshank Redemption analogy. You just dug the tunnel and climbed out of your cell. Now you have to break into the sewer and crawl through 200 yards of shit to be free. Post today and keep your word. You will make it only a few yards but keep going and you will breathe air that is freedom. Stay the course and follow the plan with perfection. Post 100% when you wake and its Today, keep your word for that day, sleep, wake and repeat.

Keep going!!!!!

Day 5 will be better than day 4 . Don't look over your shoulder . Keep quitting one day at a time .
Cut way back on caffeine , and keep your blood sugar up and STEADY !! Pineapple juice is good .
In addition exercise will help reduce number of craves and intensity.

You got this

There are plenty of us here to help as needed. I am on Day 8 and it has gotten a little easier. Those first 4 days were tough but I got through them and so can you! Hang in there. I've found trident gum and sunflower seeds have filled in nicely and help take my mind off the dip.

With Day 5 Almost Completely behind me every day I beat this horrible addiction I gain more confidence and feel better about my quit.

I had some horrible craves today and some physical symptoms, which were probably mentally produced, but name will be on roll call again tomorrow.

This is the last time I quit, the one and only, glad to be quit with everyone here today!

Now that I got that out of the way... I am so happy to be QUIT today.. day 6 is almost over and not ONE bit of nicotine so great... I just wish I could feel better for make a good decision.. if that makes any sense..

Regardless happy to be quit and will continue with my group

PS If anyone has any tips for the symptoms I have going on please share

It took me about 4 days of that crap, but started going to bed much earlier than normal, and though I didn't sleep well, or long, when I woke up a few hours later, the symptoms were somewhat better. Don't forget to drink a lot of water, it will help also. Proud to be quitting with you Ace!

From what i've seen you should be on day 7. You know what that means??
Quote
I am going to prove to myself once and for all I can beat this bitch.
It means that for 6 days you have been proving this ^^^^^^^^^^^^! If you did it for 6 you can damn sure make it 7. Post roll and keep your word!

In time you will want to kick yourself right in the booty for ever putting the poison in your pie hole. Jbradley had some wise words. Reed it again. He knows what he's talking about. You have been poisoning your body for years. Letting it finally fix itself takes time mentally and physically. Embrace it brother!

One day at a time and you can have back a lot of what the poison has stolen. Never again for any reason and you keep it. Glad to be quit with you.

Damn I really liked Ace too. I hate losing a quit brother or sister to this can of lies.

She sure knows the art of seduction. Carry on, we still have battles to win today.

Ace if you read this, I hope you haven't surrendered. If you failed be accountable to it so we can help and that will be a stepping stone to your success.

If you surrendered, you may not think it but I think you are better than caving.

Better to kick the bitches ass than getting your ass kicked! I'm in it with you today.
Hey Ace...remember this? I made the offer and I am still here with that offer...The ball is in your court!
Dec 18-19 I'm available for an in-house wellness check. Let me know.
I will take your hand and you can help me beat it......
