Welcom Josh. The best way to get started would be to click on the pink WELCOME CENTER link at the top-left side of the page. Read all the stuff on there about posting roll. Post roll early everyday and keep your word about being nicotine free for that day. You will be posting in the Pre HOF January 2014 quit group. Thats the group that I belong too. We are the NIC KILLERS

We all quit everyday and we do it One Day At A Time. Dont "try" to quit. Trying implies that you may or may not succeed. Thats the wrong attitude to have. If you want to quit, you'll quit.

I promise to quit with you everyday, If you make the same promise to me. Check your inbox at the top right side of the screen.

Josh,
Well sit down and read your ass off because there is a lot of info to absorb and take in. First I have to say your intro states "trying", there is no trying just do.

Second find an alternative that works for you or in my case many alternatives: fake dip, lifesavers, jolly ranchers, lots of water, sunflower seeds.

Third, start eating a little healthier, you will put on weight easier without dip. Do something physical, you will get irritated easily. Just remember to vent that anger in the right direction. No one made you dip, so it is not their fault that you became an addict.

Fourth, get phone numbers from other quitters and they will help you. When you get that craving and just feel like you have to cave call them. Most of us have been in your shoes in one day or another.

Fifth, prepare yourself because quitting is not easy. It will suck real bad, then get worse, but eventually it will all get better.

Finally remember that life will continue to happen around you. SO please save the excuses as life has happened to all of us and we have remained quit.

I am sending you a PM with my number in it. Call or text me at anytime if you need help. I would not have made it without my KTC helpers myself so I offer you the same.

That is great. You decided to quit. Perfect, now. Let's get you to just plaint quit.
Very simple. Learn how and why we post roll. Toss any half cans, nicotine gum, cigarettes, anything with nicotine. Toss'em in the toilet and flush. Post roll stating that you will not use any nicotine today. Keep your word.
Post again tomorrow.
That's how we do.
Glad you are quit. Dive in headfirst. The nic-free waters are good.

Josh,
I am interested in seeing you see this through. I remember when i realized i was a nic addict and it was well before a year and a half of use. I pushed off quitting for over half my life because i figured i would do it myself when i had the time. Now is the time my friend. I came here less than three days ago on my knees in self pity. Im only ten days quit now and i will be quit with you tomorrow so long as you post fucking roll in the morning

Hey Josh. Welcome to KTC. You've made the right decision and your in the right place. Take seriously all the advice you've been given. Up at the top, under the black line, look for your inbox. Click on it. Folks are sending you their phone numbers. Get them. Save them. And text those folks. You can click on people's names and it will bring up a box and you can send them a personal message to their inbox. Gotta get hooked up with your fellow quitters. We quit together here. Congrats on you decision.

Listen! Can you hear that Josh? A lot of people who know what being an addict is like and understand how to successfully quit. You have been encouraged to post roll and you still haven't done it. Please don't let that bitch lure you back. Most of us have traveled that road to hell, (the one paved with good intentions). I followed that road for over 4 decades. Then I took the road less traveled 560 days ago and have put my best foot (daily promise) forward every day since. I challenge you to jump in with both feet and drink deep of the quit koolaid.

To the little green man on my picture: "Do or do not. There is no try." all that ends up mattering is what was done. not what you meant to do. you are quit or you're not. No more trying to quit.

Post roll every day and make the promise every day. One day at a time. Worry about tomorrow tomorrow. Once tomorrow becomes today, you can make your promise again and then worry about it. You can do it. Just make the decision and stick with it. We are here to help. Send me a message if you need some help.

May the force be with you.
