Title: Time to do it
Post by: malan69 on September 30, 2015, 09:23:00 PM
I'm a day five quitter, 1/2 to 3/4 can a day. I started at 17 and have stopped twice before in the last 29 years, once for 3 months in boot camp, and once for 6 months when I was 34. I have been a "semi-secret" dipper since I was 23, so it has been a rough 5 days with no one to back me up. Had no idea this site was here, just started searching to see what kinda crap I was in for withdrawl wise.

Welcome to ktc my friend! What we do here works. We post roll as soon as we get up in the morning, giving our word we will not use any form of nicotine for 24 hrs, that's all thats required 24 hrs at a time. You will get plenty of support and advice for the price of posting roll. Go to welcome center read and it will explain how to Post Roll as soon as you do the advice and support will be overwhelming! I quit with you today!

Quitting for five days alone shows that you have a strong commitment to really quit. The nicotine is already out of your body and you are currently in the suck of withdrawal. I was probably at 3/4 a can a day myself when I quit. It took me about two weeks to get past most of the fog.

To get the most help from this site you should join the January 2016 quit group here. You would be committing to quit one day at a time with everyone else here, which means you need to be here at least once a day to post your name on the January 2016 roll. But while you are here spend some time reading threads in the forum and the articles on the main page. There is a ton of information that can help you stay quit.

Either way I hope you stay quit.

I quit with you today.
