Good morning all you quitters,
I'm Chris (Alphabull) and I'm an addict. I'm 43 y.o. and I've been dipping for 27 years. Well, as of Friday July 25th 2014 I quit! No more being a slave to the need. No more can and a half to two cans a day. No more spit bottles. No more wasting my money.
I Quit!

Great job and congrats on freeing yourself. Quit like fuck today. Then do it again tomorrow.

Congrats on making a great choice, Chris. Two days is HUGE. But it is nothing compared to what you can do...
Click on the KillTheCan.org link above and start reading. Learn how and why we post roll. Then do it...everyday. Get lots of excercise, drink water, seeds, mints, candy, gum, fake stuff...whatever you have to do, just give us your word that you won't put that shit in your face today, and keep it.
Don't worry about tomorrow, next week, next year...we'll deal with them when they get here. Get pumped about what you're doing. Quit like your life depends on it...because it does.
You got this, brother!!! You can do it.

Bull, congrats. You've come to the right place. Quitting dipping has been one of the smartest decisions I've made. A couple of words of advice. Post roll everyday. A lot of guys get in the habit of posting roll every once in a while. But if you want this site to help you through some tough times (and there will be many) you have to promise everyday not to dip. Think of yourself as an addict. I know starting my quit I realized I was addicted, but I didn't think of myself as an addict. As an addict you need to have your guard up at all times. The road ahead is going to suck, but be a man and get through it.

Nice day 4 today. Get up tomorrow and post roll and repeat. I like that you're already involved and working on a group name. Keep up the good work. Stay involved. Read all you can here.
Yell if you need anything.

My crazy ramblings to myself.....
Well...... Day 5 is just about over! The fog and cravings are subsiding. Feeling much more energetic and ready to go do... something. Don't know what, but I know I'm tired of sitting around at the office on the puter.
Yesterday had one of the worst cravings for a dip I've ever had before... I got on the tractor to bushhog the back field, and was dying for a dip. I know I subconsciously reached to my back pocket for a can at least 3 times only to find it empty.

Been there, done that....I used to get pissed at myself for doing that.....Good news is, you break that habit. Don't worry about it for now. Concentrate on breaking your addiction, then you can worry about habits.

Day 5 is a good run thus far. I never thought I'd make it 5 days w/o that poison. Glad to hear that you're still on the wagon. Keep on keeping on Alphabull!

Day 6...
Good day so far. No big cravings. Actually went two hours this morning before I even thought about a dip.
Yesterday even ended on a good note... I only threatened to kill one person! And that was just the ex. Kind of wish I would have gone through with the threat.

Day 40 and all is well! Tried to drop the Smokey Mountain crutch, didn't work out so well. But for the time being I can live with the fake stuff. From what I've heard from the vets, the need/want for the fake stuff will go away and I'll just not want it. Eating habits are back under control, not grazing through the kitchen for food all day long. So, guess that means I can lose some weight now.
'oh yeah' Here's to this new life!
