Title: Need Help
Post by: SueODisciple on January 01, 2015, 07:50:00 PM
Hello, Kill the Can,

I have been using copenhagen for 25 years. I have quit a few times but always go back. Thus far I have been cope free for 17 hours. I have visited this site before...today I registered. How do I become a group member?
Thanks, Sue

Go to quit groups, find April 2015 and go to the last page and post your promise. Don't worry to much about getting it perfect just post your promise. Read everything you can from this sight.

Congrats on quitting, Sue. I responded to one of your posts in April '14 group. I know you've got some folks in your house that have tobacco. That's a tough situation. But, like I said in April '14, it's your decision. You decided to use. You must decide to quit.

My advice is start small. Post roll and then let it really sink in what that means. In essence, you're promising 20K+ people that you will NOT use tobacco today. No matter what.

Try that the first few days. Post roll. Then remember that you've got 20K+ virtual brothers and sisters that need you to keep your promise as badly as you need them to keep their's.

Then do whatever you have to do not to use tobacco.

When I go to "Quit Groups" I don't see any for 2015.

It is at the bottom of the quit groups page. The other years are for lack of a better term, "archived" into their years so the main quit group page stays neat.

I don't know what to do can someone help me? I don't know how to find my previous posts. I don't know how to read replies to my posts. I don't know how to post roll call. Somebody told me but I don't see what he is telling me.

Sue, I'm just a newbie, but looks like your first post were in April 2015 group. Go back to it.
Once your there, At top left corner you can go to last, or most current, page. I found your post there.
Right now you are posting on your intro page. Don't get frustrated it takes a couple days to figure it all out, but it's worth it.

Hi Sue,

How is going today? Don't let yesterday upset you, roll call issues are a right of passage for new quitters! We have some bad ass female quitters here, get to know them and the rest of us and quit like hell today!

If Sue does decide to return today, she will be posting up another Day 1 as I understand it. Minor frustrations such as not knowing how to post roll or use the forum is not an excuse to break your word and use nicotine. Ever.

Right now Sue has all the fortitude of a wet paper bag, and that needs to change if she really does want to quit.

Hi Sue, I am another female quitter. I chewed for 24 years. I am going to send you a private message (PM). Check your inbox which is in the top right corner. It is like a e-mail. Please come back. If I can do this, you can do this.
