Title: Trying to quit... again.
Post by: powerram100 on October 17, 2010, 11:14:00 PM
I'm new to the site, found it looking for tips to quit. I'm 22 tears old and I've been dipping since I was 17. When I first started it was a can every 2 weeks, now it's almost 2 cans a day. When I first started I would get 10 pinches per can, now I get 3-4 pinches. The longest I've gone before when trying to quit is 3 weeks. But this time I'm hoping to kick it for good. I bought a roll of grizzly straight tonight, after putting my first pinch in I looked at the can and realized I put damn near half the can in I decided I'm done with it. My roommate and myself are quitting together, we even made a slap bet out of it. First one to cave and buy a can will get 5 slaps to be used anytime, anywhere, and for as long as we know each other. So that will give a little motivation.

Lets hope it works this time.

Wes, you've come to the right place if your serious about quitting.

It's good to have support from your roommate too.

You're going to need a little more motivation than a slap bet to make this work.
Start by throwing out the rest of those cans in the ROLL you just bought.

How about betting your roommate that if either one of you caves that you will slam your dick in the car door.
Both of you need to read up on this site and see what we are all about.
It's all fucking business here brother. Here it's life and death shit, not slap happy bullshit.
We are here to support you if you're serious. If not then this aint the place for you.

Agreed.
Slap bet? Pussies. Should be a swift kick in the nuts.
That'll keep ya from caving.

Seriously though, It's gonna take blood, sweat, and a little bit of anger to fight that bitch off, I don't care how long you been quit. I'm on day 155 and I still pat my pants down looking for a can. Sometimes, I feel that creepy slut staring at the back of my head, and I gotta be honest, it used to scare me. After a while, it became annoying. Now, whenever I hear that cunt's footsteps, I just get pissed off at myself, tobacco companies, and politicians who ignore the dangers of tobacco to collect kickbacks and tax revenue.

First of all, try and hope are sissy pansy bullshit words. You want advise? This was the hardest thing I've every done, so nut up and get serious. Get prepared for the battle of your life. Set you the goal every day to stay quit and meet that goal no matter what. Post your promise and keep it.

If you go in with hope and try, you will get dry humped by the nic bitch in no time.

Try to have a little fun with the suck...embrace it. Promise yourself this is the only time you will ever go through this. Feel it and remember it.

Also, there are no short-cuts...you are saving your life and sparring everybody who cares for you tons of anguish. This is the fight of your life...but you only have to fight one day, one hour, one minute at a time. You can do this. Stay strong...stat quit.

Wes,

You won't be able to quit until you feel you have to do it.... when it's no longer an option to cave.

Dude-your lingo sux. Hope and try will not cut it. It's do or do not. And since you're here I assume you choose DO. And everyone else is right, this is some serious shit here. There's guys caving in here at a fair clip, it aint easy. So get a plan, get some #s and arrange your sack for kicking if you feel the need to dip. The line will get long for kicking once it gets out that you're craving and will get even longer if you cave.

Everyone in here is serious and demands your 100% respect and accountability. Now get back to quittin!

Been 10 days now dip free. sorry i haven't posted on here much. It has not been easy, but the longer I go the less I want to try it again. Everytime I go to the gas station and look behind the counter i just think about getting kicked in the nuts and just get the heck out of dodge.

Glad to see you're 10 days Quit now.
But here is the deal. Everyone on this site is commited to their quit and to each others quit. We make the commitment every day to post roll and tell ourselves and our quit brothers that we will be nic free for the day, no matter what.

Popping in every now and then is disrespecting the people on this site. The foundation of this site is POSTING ROLL EVERY DAY!!!!

So again, congratulations on your 10 days. But if you can't commit to the site then find another site that puts up with that stuff.

Accountability is what makes this place different and this quit different than what you have done in the past.

These fine quitters have put it as nicely as it can be put. Get with the program, it only takes a couple of minutes a day. Could save your life....
