you only have to be quit today, we'll help you through it and then we'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here...

CTD03,
Congrats on the best decision you can make, send me a PM if you need my number for anything.

.....and go post up in March :)
I do have to ask - what happens if you get laid off again tomorrow? Will your quit be gone with your job? We all have stress my friend - it is all in how you DEAL with it. Chew will not get you rehired. Chew will make NOTHING better.
As everyone has already told you - there is NO try here - only DO :)
now go post up in March and get on with it.

I refuse to be a statistic anymore. Once I realized the only way to quit and stay quit is if I accept the responsibility of controlling my own actions. A little can no longer controls my actions, thoughts, emotions, MY DESTINY. I DO! There is no going back from here or I am that statistic I refuse to be.
Commitment is a heartfelt Promise to yourself that you will not back down from. Your ability to live up to your commitments defines your character.
You Can Do This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back CTD!! You are going to have to change your attitude to "I WILL QUIT" instead of "I will try"!!! There is no trying in here you are either quit or not, no in between!!! The other thing you will have to change immediatley (other than your attitude) is your activity on this site. With a join date of 9-11-08 and only 3 posts, I can see why you failed before!!!!
If you are truly serious this time then use every aspect of this site to help you!!!! All the tools needed to quit are right here but, you have to be willing to use them!!!!!

Posting roll daily is the only way. Accountability is key! You must not be reading the right stuff.

roll is the center piece of how this place works....it is what builds accountablility, i was only successful in a long term quit when i had complete strangers holding my feet to the fire...here's what i see as the purpose of posting roll daily:
It is the MINIMUM requirement of membership for AT LEAST the first 100 days of my quit; I take my quit seriously enough to meet the expectations of this site.
I post early so that the promise is the first thing on my mind, during the day, I check-in and watch the list grow knowing that others are joining me with their quit.
I make a commitment everyday to keep my quit strong and force me to be accountable to others.
I must be here for my brothers and sisters if I expect them to be there for me.
I have to keep the suck fresh, or heaven forbid, I forget the hell of withdraw.
Missing roll will let me down; I have set a standard for myself.
I canÂ’t quite trust myself alone in my quit yet.
I am addict and would rather hang out here with other addicts than stuff shit in my mouth.
I owe my family this quit because of the lies, time, and money I have taken from them for this addiction.
I deserve to be nicotine free and it requires effort because I am an addict.
