Hello all,
I joined KTC because I want to unceremoniously bury nicotine in an unmarked paupers grave. On second thought, I'm too kind because she deserves worse...
I've beaten the chemical component to this addiction twice, including these last 89 days. I've fallen before because of the psychological component. Nicotine addiction is sneaky. She snared me many years ago as soon as I began rationalizing use and it took me about 11 years to overcome the chemical addiction again. I'm here to ensure I don't throw away a long quit ever again!!!
Let's hate her together forever.

Welcome aboard. Congrats on quitting.
Read the Welcome Center and get with your quit group. You need to post roll and start building some friendships. That's how this website works. It's all about building an accountability network. You don't want to let your brothers down.
Get in here and go full bore. Balls to the wall quit.

Congrats on a great choice. Let's work on the mental thing. Nobody can beat nicotine...it will always be out there and we are addicts. But we can CONTROL that bitch.
Quitting is done one day at a time. There is no end. Some people find that discouraging...not me. I start each day by kicking nicotine's ass. And I feel pretty good about myself for doing it, too.
Your attitude will determine your success. The fog sucks. But you've made it through that before. What you need to do is to learn to keep your edge. Count your success with us ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Thank you and I appreciate the advice.
I tried to post roll today but I think I screwed it up. I added my name under supporting saloon instead of adding it under the line that says new quitters here. Did I make a mistake? How should I fix it? Thanks.

Get your name on the top part. Good job your name is up there you are now committed. Do it again tomorrow so you can keep up the fight one day at a time.
What day are you on?

Thanks for your help. I joined today but I'm on day 89 of nicotine freedom.
-
I remember you from chat a while back. I'm glad you decided to join us. Read up, start posting roll EDD, and get involved.

Good. Then you should be in the June 2014 group. Post every day and make some friends. That's how it's done. Glad you're here and quit.
-
Sounds like you got a good quit going on. I've screwed up the roll plenty of times, nothing that can't be fixed, just keep posting everyday. I'm glad you've decided to join us even though you've made it 89 days. If you read enough on here, you will learn that even vets at 500 days will have craves and that's where the whole support group kicks in. Read up, make some friends, and welcome to the June Saloon.

Thanks for the advice Melon.

Doh, I didn't know you were a noob to the site, no offense to what I said on the June board about the bump today. I thought it was a veteran making a day 1 bump. 89 days without a support site is bad ass Chargers, I quit with you all day long.
-
No problem. I'll figure it out asap.
-
89 days on your own is awesome. Congrats. Post roll every day, without fail, and get involved. We keep losing people that become "too busy" to post every day. Don't be that guy. Welcome. If you need anything or want to swap numbers, let me know.

Thumblewort is a roll nazi. And that's a good thing...
Welcome chargers.

Congrats on making it this far on your own.
Since you are through the physical withdrawal, there is not much to talk about and no discussion needed.
In order to quit you need to only do three things.
1. Post roll every day, which is your promise not chew that day.
2. Honor your word
3. Repeat.
Are you in San Diego? (Chargers).
-
Thanks for the support and yes I live in San Diego.
-
Proud to be quit with you Chargers! Nice job posting roll today too :)
-
Thanks Bronc I'm finally understanding the process. Thanks for your support.
