Hello everyone, my name is Kenny. I've been dipping on and off for 2 years now, but most recently I've been dipping as if my life depended on it. And my life does depend on it, that's the reason I want to quit. I hate being a slave to this disgusting habit. I chew at least a can a day and I spend every penny I earn on dip. I also want to quit so I won't continue to destroy relationships with my family, friends, and most importantly my girlfriend. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with the severity of this habit, and the consequences that it comes with. I'm ready to start the rest of my life tobacco-free. I would endlessly appreciate some direction on what I should do next and where to go from here. Thank you all, and God bless.

Good for you, Kenny. I am quitting for very many of the same reasons as you. The only difference is I have thirty-five years of this nasty, damn fool habit hanging over my head. I have put that nasty shit out of my life good. Watch me now! That is a promise I will keep and so will you.
I am only 89 days in my quit so there are many others here with much more experience in giving advice. In a short while you will be hearing from many of them. For starts I suggest you sign on to a quit group and post roll call every day, read everything on KillTheCan.org and posts comments and questions as you have done here.

Kenpo - good luck! There will be others who can help more than me (just started here 2 weeks ago) but I'll tell, you it is amazing how just being "accountable" really helps you stay true to the quit.
Bets of luck!
