hey there, on day 3 of quitting swedish snus here in Canada, was banging thru about a half a can a day, maybe a full on the weekends, wife never really knew the extent, just figured I dipped with the boys on the golf course or drinking or hockey or whatever...then I got complacent at home and she found a few gatorade bottles full of dip spit. She didn't get mad, just told me it was time to stop NOW as we have a 6 month old...she's right, meant to kick it before he arrived but actually probably cranked it up more after he was born. Anyways it hasn't been quite as bad as I thought as I was winding it down before I quit, but its almost playing games with me now thinking "oh quitting actually isn't that hard, maybe I can just grab a can and have one at lunch and just dip lightly for a bit" which I know is bullshit, 100% off is the only way.
Anyways reading everyone elses stories has been super helpful, thanks

Welcome. Thanks for stopping by. Could you identify with any of the nicotine addicts? It's a great thing that you're stopping. However, if you find you can't quit on your own, we would be happy to have you join us.

I can for sure relate to a lot of the things the guys on this board are talking about, I was certainly a stealth dipper so I'm sick of taking 30 minute dumps or going to wash the car or get milk all the time just to buy a can or have a driving dip. Reading other guys doing the same shit really helps, and certainly now hearing everyones withdrawal stories in the first week helps

Exactly! There's something about being a stealth addict that's very pathological. I was almost as addicted to being a shady liar as I was to the nicotine. I had to laugh and cry when I first read this stuff, because I thought I was the only one who was so peculiar.
