Title: Starting a long-haul
Post by: tpedro85 on September 16, 2019, 11:27:23 AM
Morning everyone! Ty from up north checking in. Here to quit. I know its not easy, and not a journey thats ever really done. I heard about this place from a friend, and am looking for some people to walk that journey with me! Im a serial snus user, at its highest, averaging about a tin a day, got down to about a tin every 3-4 days. However thats too much for me still. Its a costly, deadly habit.

Welcome and glad you are hear.
Have you posted roll? Read up and get active. You will only get out what you put in here.
Also, picking your nose is a habit... You are addicted to nicotine and snus, fight it!

Welcome to the best decision you can make for your health @tpedro85 (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=15517) . Make sure you understand what Idaho wrote in that you do not have an annoying nicotine habit; you are addicted to nicotine. Until you can realize and accept that, being quit of nicotine is pretty darn tough to do. But if you want this, we have a simple pan to be quit and its only 3 steps:
1. Make a promise not to use nicotine for 24 hours
2. Keep your word
3. Wake up and do it all over again

That system has had me quit for 777 days today, making the choice to commit to it is the tough part. Anyone can quit for 24 hours, just make the decision to do it again tomorrow, when tomorrow comes

Hey Ty,
Originally coming from Sweden, the land of snus, I just decided that it was time to kick this addiction to the curb earlier this weekend. I have plenty of excuses I’ve been telling myself during the relative short time of using but at the end of the day neither you nor I need to be a slave to something that does nothing but damage us and wear us down. We are in the same quit group and I  am happy to quit with you today. Let’s do this together and hit HOF in December and several more milestones after that. Reach out if you want to share digits and walk this journey of kicking snus to the curb with another addict brother in arms.
