Title: Day 2. Going well...feels different this time.
Post by: JuniorJeff on November 03, 2019, 09:30:16 AM
Greeting from Texas. 35 married 2 kiddos.  Dipped since high school...stopped and switched primarily to cigarettes from 2005 to 2015.  Used Copenhagen LC to quit cigarettes in 2015...can every three days since then.

Have tried a few quits before...there was always the thought of “just make it to this date”. This time is different...still having cravings but mind games are missing.  Craving the habit...not the dip...if that makes sense.  I have family support this time...that may be the difference.  Thanks for the time and future support!

Welcome JuniorJeff.  This is an accountability site.  Head on over to February 2019 (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=15988.msg0#new) and post your promise to remain nicotine free for today.  It's the most important thing you do on your path to freedom. You only have to quit for 24 hours. Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough troubles of its own.
I've some information in my signature about nicotine and addiction.  Educate yourself.  Knowledge is power - ignorance is terribly expensive.
It's not a habit by the way - it's an addiction.
Congratulations on the decision to reclaim your life
I Quit With You Today

@JuniorJeff (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=15971) Hey Bud glad you came to the site.  I am John I am 50 years old and also from Texas.  As of today I have been quit for 34 days..before that I had dipped for 33 years.  Do what @Athan (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=258) said..go post your promise in Feb 20, if you dont know how ask someone anyone or me even for phone number and we can walk you through it.  Some of the tools I use to keep true to my quit, reach out to members, text them every day...if you are feeling like you are gonna cave or get pissed off contact one of us.  Research this forum there is alot of good information here.  You can start with clicking on @Athan (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=258) signature, it will take you down research road...it did me.  You are at day 2 you will get some cravings and you will definatly get mind games, but you can get through this by reaching out.  For the habit I use fake chew (not much anymore maybe once a day) and seeds.  I am proud to quit with you today.

@JuniorJeff (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=15971) I saw you never posted roll...we can help you do this.  You have to be present for support from this site.  Don't give up now...it is not too late to come back and be involved in your quit.  If you have caved...come back and start from the beginning.
