Title: Here's to a nicotine free life
Post by: svmastro on January 04, 2020, 10:32:18 AM
Hi everyone,

I've been dipping for close to 8 years. Started back in freshman year of high school in the football locker room. My older brothers both chewed then, so I gave it a shot. They warned me for years to quit or I will regret it.... man I wish I listened to them lol

Anyways, I am on day 2 of no dip and I finally decided to join Kill The Can. I think the community aspect will go a long ways in helping me to stay away from nicotine. I know it is going to be a tough road.... but I hate needing a dip to enjoy something as simple as hanging out with friends.

Looking forward to the road ahead!

Welcome.

You’ve made a great decision. The way this site works is that you join a quit group, in your case April 2020. Go there early each day and make a promise to remain quit by posting roll. Your quit group can be found here: https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16165.msg7685365#new

Exchange digits (phone numbers) with fellow April quitters and some vets too. Mine are a PM away.

Proud to quit with you.

@RDB (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=465) provided the link the freedom. We post roll every morning as soon as we wake to stay nic free for the day and then keep our promise. Only exchange digits through private messages and not on the forum. Make relationships. Those brothers and sisters will be critical to your quit. You can do this and we are here to help. Shoot me a message if you want help.

Great job posting roll brother! You're on your way to a new life - one without nicotine calling the shots. Educate yourself on the addiction, study and know your enemy.
I've some links in my signature that'll help you get started. Grab some digits from the folks you your crew and start building a web of accountability.
Good job owning your life - you're the only one who can.

Great job at figuring it out so soon! Some of use went 20+ years before coming to the realization that we need help. So you are already ahead in that aspect. Like these badass have already said, grab up digits and build a wall of accountability. It's harder to fail when others are holding accountable. Welcome and PTBQWYT
