Title: Day 4
Post by: Mmardis on March 04, 2020, 11:12:20 PM
I'm on day 4. This is my third stab at quitting. The last time I read stories on KTC but didn't join. The stories were helpful and I still remember some of them. Last time I was able to stay away for a year and a half. I had a bad day, got a can thinking one was ok and never stopped. I'm joining this time to have people have my back on the next real bad day who understand how hard it is to quit and stay quit.

@Mmardis (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=17068)  great to see you. Wake up, piss, and post your promise every morning. Keep your promise and then repeat the next day. Check your messages as fellow quitters will be reaching out. Only exchange digits through messages and not on the forum or here in the intro section. You can do this and we are here to help.

@Mmardis (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=17068) I'm the one who put your registration approval through last night.  You've got this!  Drink the kool aid and go all in.  It is the only way.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. It’s hard for someone to give support that haven’t been in our shoes.

I see you were online today around 8:55 AM however you did NOT POST ROLL -- WTF?!?!??!  If you have been slinking around this site for as long as you say you have then you KNOW the daily price to pay is posting roll.  If you are really serious about this then POST ROLL EDD.  Make up your mind -- take a stand -- and commit!  This an a ACCOUNTABILITY site and we are here to make you ACCOUNTABLE!

So.... that's it???

What on earth would be going on in your head that you wouldn't post your promise again today? The stories here don't quit for you. One of those stories is going to have to be yours. I'd like to read it one day.

I thought I had but I guess I didn’t. I had it open on a separate tab and it was still there waiting to post.

I don't suspect you ever opened your can of cat shit only to forget to put a wad in your pie hole.

Prior to KTC we fed our addiction to nicotine.

Now here, we need to feed our quits. Own it. Invest in your quit. Take the extra 10 seconds to make sure your promise gets posted. Share digits with your fellow quitters. Be proactive.

I tried to figure out how to do that on my profile but I guess I suck at this and couldn’t figure it out. So here or there I guess it don’t matter.

I live on Louisiana. I’m a forester. I’m married with one kid - daughter. I hunt, fish and work. Here and there I like to build smaller wood projects. I’m getting in to smoking meat some when I have time.

This is the right place to introduce yourself. There are many people from Louisiana here, and meat smokers. I even know of another quitter who is a forester in LA too. Come back often and update your story. Proud to quit with you today!
