Title: Nicotine Replacement in the Trash, 17 hours in (Hell on earth)
Post by: Henke_Expo on June 05, 2020, 02:19:52 PM
Hey guys,

I'm back for round 2. It's been a while. I was able to quit for 30 days while on deployment at the end of 2018, and have been back ever since. Fell into some rough times after that deployment, but have a whole new reason to get back at this. I transitioned out of the service, had my first child, and am moving on to a new career. I spent my life dying living. Pushing the maximum tempo every day. I've been numb to death for years, lived in the minute-second. That kid has brought my risk tolerance down 1 million x. I cant look at him without ripping the chew out of my mouth.

I'm moving on 1-1.5 cans for 15 years. Working on day 1, the fog has already set in and I am in my own hell. If anyone can refresh my memory and guide me where to go from here- I really need an accountability partner to punch this ticket. 17 hours in.

Stay Dangerous,

Tyler

You are going to want to go here to post roll Sept 2020 (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16478.0)

Since you have been here before we need you to answer some questions

What happened?

Why did it happen?

What are you going to do differently this time?

Answer them in your new group as well as your old group July 2015 (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=21.0)

Make sure you wipe your feet in July 2015 (post roll with them) before answering the questions.

Glad you are back. I just want to add a note a caution and state that you must quit for yourself. You can't quit for your son or spouse or your dog. You must do this for YOU.

Answer the questions Doc posted and let's get serious this time.

I quit for my son, which ultimately was for me. I'm 1 year in now. Thanks for this extra bit of motivation, I held on to your words and proved your caution wrong to myself.

Congrats on 1 year. As I hope you know, you will always be an addict and never cured of your addiction. Suggest you join the Sept 2020 quip group and add a layer of accountability and brother/sisterhood to your quit.
