Title: 11/2/15 for the rest of my lifeeeeee
Post by: ch_stevens on November 02, 2015, 08:09:00 PM
Hey y'all, I'm Heath. Been dipping since July 2011, unfortunate product of a high school football locker room. I never intended to let it get out of hand, but it slowly progressed to a full can a day. I've used the classic "I'll slow down" excuse since this past April, but that's just not plausible. I want rid of this vice in my life and am so glad I stumbled onto this site by accident. I'm thankful that I've been able to avoid permanent damage to my mouth to this point in my life, but I don't wanna risk it any further. I guess that's one of my biggest motivations, the fact that I still like looking at myself in the mirror and being able to smile and be okay with what I see. I don't wanna be the soon to be 22 year old who is missing teeth. Also, I don't wanna die a premature death because of a stupid habit. I'm glad to have found a group of like minded people seeking the same outlet.

Excellent choice Heath!

I assume you've read a bit here, so this might be redundant:

1. Dump all your cans out in the toilet  flush. You want no temptation right now. No holding back a trophy can either. Flush it all.

2. Go to the February 2016 quit group. Post roll, your promise to yourself and all here that you will not use nicotine for 24 hours. Repeat the post every morning when you wake up.

3. Exchange digits (use the PM) with fellow quitters, build a network of support and get through this together.

4. Read everything on this site, especially hall of fame speeches, words of wisdom, and other intros.

5. Drink lots of water, exercise to get through those key first days quit. Check out the chat as well. Lots of people here want you to succeed.

I quit with you today.

I appreciate that so very much. I know it's gonna be a ridiculously difficult road, but seeing the success stories on this site have been incredibly encouraging to me already.

I'm so excited that this resource is out there! If I'd have known googling "how to quit dipping" would have brought me to a site like this, I'd have done it a long time ago.

Hey ch_stevens: You've been missing from roll for 3 days and have logged in during this absence. Either you are having difficulties posting (which you seemed to do okay for 4 days in a row) or you caved. In order to benefit from all of the support KTC has you'll need to post roll everyday. We quit weekends and holidays here. Did you only dip on the work week?

Get your butt back on roll.

Kind regards,
KennyZ
