Title: Another Ninja Quitter
Post by: z13lucky on October 14, 2014, 09:54:00 PM
Just wanted to formally introduce myself. I been around here for the last couple weeks (quit on 9/29 and found this site shortly after) and this site has been very helpful for me. Anyway the particulars for me, I have been dipping since college so almost 15 years now, mostly mint Skoal had been my delivery system of choice. Some of my college friends knew I still dipped but my family and the rest of my co-workers don't, I have kept it a secret for years. That is why this site is so important for me as it is the only place I can share my quit right now. I eventually want to tell my wife but want to make it a good 30 days first. I actually was off the shit for a while even over 6 months when I lived in Europe (mostly because it is not readily available) but I imported several tins when would come back from a trip home and treated it like gold (disgusting I know), when I moved back I picked it right back up. I would travel a lot for work (I am in accounting) and really love the nights alone in my hotel room and the long drives to different clients. This quit has been building in me for a while now with several "attempts" like all of you, mostly only lasting 3-4 days with some useless excuse. This time I am serious and committed to using all the tools this site provides, I am posting roll and taking advantage of smokeless alternatives, which have been a godsend for me. You can find me posting roll every day over in the January 2015 quite group. Some other things about me, I am 35 married with 3 kids a Bears/Cubs fan living in Milwaukee and work in the accounting industry.

You're also rocking this quit man.

Keep it up. There's been quite a few ninjas here. Some tell their wives right away...some don't. I tell everybody I'm quit. Some don't. But...don't let it eat you either way. You want to tell her? Fine. Go for it. You'll probably find support from her you never knew you had. No regrets in this quit man.

My advice: Be honest. Quitting sucks on occasion and it's nice to talk to the wife about it. You'll also be all in in this quit. Don't leave yourself an excuse or a backdoor out of here. Live your quit. No regrets.

An often overlooked fact about the KTC is that 100% of the accountant's/CPA's here have ginormus dongers. That's what double entry quit gets you.

I think salesmen have larger dongies, but no matter. There is a monster awesome part of this site called spousal support, my wife read it and became my quit knight. helps them understand addiction and what it does to you. my .03 cents would be to read that then have her sit down with you to read it so you can explain. ( FYI my $0.02 is more expensive than most)

somebody smarter than me post one of those magic hyperlinks to that part of the site
