Hello everybody,

I am on day 25. I had been dipping a can of Grizzly Wintergreen a day for 6 years before I decided to quit. To be honest this first three weeks were nothing to what I am feeling now. Why after that amount of time am I feeling worse than I did originally? I am a senior in college and am attending law school next fall. That's why I decided to quit. I always dipped when I was studying and I knew if I went into law school still dipping then I would never be able to quit given how hard it is. I'm just ready to not always be thinking about it. Some support would be welcome, thanks guys.

Great choice. I'm a college student as well, and I can safely say that you're making the right choice, because the studying doesn't end. It is tough at first to study without dipping, but you do get used to it, and eventually you wonder why you ever needed to chew to study in the first place.

25 days is pretty badass young bro. Badass indeed!

So, right now you're more than likely hitting a pretty well documented area of time where you hit a bit of a wall/rough patch... We call 'em funks. Some deal with 'em... Some don't. Personally, I think it's just life bro. The ups and downs that are a normal part of the human experience. You always dealt with those while you had a lip full. Hell, we all did! Right now is mental games for you bro... Learning how to cope without your pacifier of dip. It can get a little gnarly. Plow on through. 25 days on your own is something to keep in the front of your mind... You're winning. By finding us you just put that in overdrive. Any questions?... Gi'me a shout out through a pm. Welcome to freedom bro... It's damn cool.

AJ is right, the funks come along and can be a real bitch. I tend to agree that it's just part of life, the problem is most of us began our addiction before we became adults and we never learned coping skills without dip. For me over 40 years of addiction ruled everything I did. Now that it's gone I find teaching this old dog new tricks is a long process. Never the less I'm winning one day at a time, and so can you.

Quitting nicotine is no cake walk. You have done it on your own for 25 days and that is awesome brother. But you can't expect to abuse your body for all these years and expect to be cured in 25 days. It does not work that way. We are addicts and we need to work at staying quit everyday.

We quit together on this site. We support each other. We post roll and quit one day at a time. Get in and post roll and join us. You will not regret it!
