Hi folks. My name's Chris and it's time to stop dipping.
I am 22 and a native of the great state of Colorado. Denver born, living in Boulder now. It's as nice as they say.
I started dipping when I was 13. I very quickly became ashamed of my addiction, and would dip sparingly and alone. But eventually I added more and more chew to each dip, until I couldn't even feel a buzz unless I was double decker dipping (nine pouches or half a tin at a time), and even then no more than a few times a day.
I don't want that, so here I am.
Day one is a fucking mess. I feel totally unhinged and unproductive, and keep saying dumb stuff to different people. I'll level out, bear with me.
Love the Broncos, Avs, and good music. I was listening to Chris Stapleton when he was still in the Steeldrivers.
Friendly guy, definitely need distractions. Embracing suck, quitting for today. 'bang head'

Just quit for today. Don't worry about tomorrow. Not sure you can make it through today? Then just quit for the next hour. If that's too long, quit for the next minute. We can hold our breath for that long, so we can do anything for a minute.
You see, quitting is all about making decisions. You get the urge to go to the store and buy some dip - make a decision not to do it. You get the urge for dip - decide not to dip for the next minute, or hour, or day. Don't bite off more than you can quit.
I saw your first post. I think I'll enjoy travelling to June with you. I quit with you today! (And, if you are a troll, I'm REALLY going to enjoy this!)

I agree with Irish... Focus on today.
It's not about funny...
Its about suck.
Its about the truth.
Swear to God.
It's about grabbing a hold of the rope and allowing us to pull you out.
Need help? Send me a PM.
Ill be here... Throwing rope ALL DAY LONG!

You are alright in my book if you listen to the Steeldrivers when Stapleton was with them

I agree with the others, you must focus and take it day by day, just quit for 24 hours and then do it again tomorrow. It will be a rough road, but you can do this.
I quit with you today.

Preciate cha man. For what it's worth Steve and I (my quit PIC, stopped the same day) both felt like a thousand bucks today. Here's hoping we feel like a million tomorrow... But if we don't, well. Fuck it. Quit on.

Hi Chris. Good first posts. I'm rooting for you from nearby Douglas County.
Stay strong and you'll get through this.
If I can do it, and all these guys who are welcoming you and will be posting roll with you can do it, so can you!

Appreciate it man! Unlike our beloved Rockies, you can count on me.

My quit partner caved this weekend, and while he's back on the horse it sort of sucks that I'm solo on my day now.
-
As long as you're here, you're never solo.
Edit: Nm, I know what you mean now. Solo on your quit date.

I found Team Quitter, who's also on day 7. Woohoo!

It does suck but... on them. Not you.
Leave em in the dust and keep plowing ahead. This is for YOU.

Glad you're back Swanson! Interesting to go back and read some of these early posts. Wish I had started an intro that early but what can you do? Quit with you today!
