My names Sam, im turning 20 on the 14th an Im ready to quit. ive been dipping since I was 14. I was given a fat pinch by one of my buddies on my birthday and i have been dipping copenhagen longcut every day since. I realized I was addicted when I started going through half a log a day. Ive tried quiting cold turkey but I always come back to it. Ive tried mint snuff but it just wasnt the same(too gritty) and missed the taste and the way a fat pinch of my cope mistress could calm me down and help me think. Im done. Im sick of being addicted to this bitch and im ready for her to be gone. yesterday I flushed the two rolls i had left and found this site. I almost didn't sign up because i thought I could go it alone. But I know im wrong and i know i will need the support of others who are going through the same thing i am. I WILL quit and I will STAY QUIT.

Welcome Sam.
Looks like you have the post roll figured out already. Best damn decision you've made in your life to quit. Its rough for a few days but gets easier after that.
Holler at me if you need anything

Okay Sambone. You hit the 'Welcome center' in the upper left. You read there and get to know how things work here. The thing to learn is posting roll, what it means and how it is our daily "fuck you" to nicotine.
This is how you do it: How to post roll (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=50)
You do it here:
May 2012 (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=5841)
You read everything you can on this site. The knowledge here is immense and will help guide you through the fight.
Reach out.

That is how it's done, Sam. Congrats and great choice. Stay quit, brother!

I'm ready to be free
That is the title to your (this) intro. And 30 something days later you're back in the can. And you think your happier now? really? You are choosing to drink the kool-ade, but it's the wrong kool-ade. You are buying into a bunch of addict-brain nic-logic. Ask yourself why you started this thread a month ago, and then ask yourself HONESTLY if you are happier using nicotine. Come on, Sam! That is bullshit.
You're still lurking on the site. Reading. Thinking. Well, I hope that you figure out and accept the level of commitment that it takes to be quit. Then I hope I see your name posting a Day1. You'll be held accountable, but you will understand that it is part of why this place works. At day 38, I don't understand it all by a long shot, but I know the difference between satisfying a craving, and happiness.
If you're gonna be here, you might as well post and say what's on your mind. Do it right here on the intro thread.
