A can a month, a can a week, 3 cans a week, a can a day, 2 cans a day. An addiction of mine that planted its roots 5 years ago. I just turned 21 in January and I've decided that eventually will never come unless it is now. I lost my mom to cigarettes last September and quitting has been on my mind ever since. I just found this site while I was googling some pointers and have been reading around for a couple of hours. Are there any other college aged quitters on here?
I really need to find something else to put in my lip, any suggestions? I'm not gonna mess with nicotine gum.
Day One.

Welcome Blake,
There are definitely college aged guys on the site. Go to the June quit group and post roll and introduce yourself. Posting roll is our promise to not use nicotine today, post early before your day gets busy. The first days are hard, but you need to embrace it. We call it "the suck". It is the price of admission to a new life free of nicotine.
Try hard candies, toothpicks, sunflower seeds or the fake snuff. I like the Hooch or Smokey Mountain. Just find something that works for you.
Keep reading this site. There is a wealth of quit knowledge around here. Drink lots of water then read some more. PM me if you need anything. I'll quit with you today.

Read the Welcome Center and post a roll call. Quit at 21 my friend, and not 44 like I did. You'll thank yourself in 20 years.

What's up Blake? I'm 24, just out of college and proof that young guys can do this. I will hit the hall of fame next week (100 days quit on 3/12). You have to buy into the KTC way. Post roll every day, interact with your group and definitely build a network for accountability. I'm running short on time, gotta head back to work but I'll send you a pm later today.

I would give my left nut to quit at 21 and some guys did before they quit! Just an addict trying to help another addict! I quit with you today!
