Well I have finally decided I need help quitting and after stalking the site for a week or so I realized this is what I need! My wife has no idea I have quit because I have tried quitting so many times and every time I relapse I let her down but this time I will do it! This time I will have the support group I have needed but wouldn't ask for! Today is the last Day 1 without for me! Thanks in advance for all those who will help me through the trying times I know are to come! I look forward to getting to know all of you and staying quit with you!

2 things...
1... Own it. Embrace the suck, revel in the healing process, and never look back.
2... Get involved and stay involved.
Get that name on roll and do this...

what he ^^^ said. Getting involved and posting roll will help build your accountability here, and that is what will help you do this. Also keep reading everything here. You will find inspiration from the many Bad Ass Quitters who are staying quit even through some pretty tough personal times. Fight for your life one day at a time and minute by minute if need be, but know that there is a better place down the road.

Good choice, CRS. You're going to get a lot of great advice here. The only thing I've got to say is... Tell your wife you're quitting. As a matter of fact, you need to tell your whole family, your girlfriend/gay lover on the side (not that I condone that behavior), your neighbors, your local butcher, your chiropractor, your mechanic, the local chapter of the Royal Order of Water Buffalo; everybody that you can think of. The wider that you cast your net of accountability, the harder it is to fail. I mean, if you're willing to proclaim your quit to a bunch of psychos on the interwebz, you should at least let some close friends/family in on the deal.
Secret quits always end in failure. ALWAYS.

Welcome aboard. Go find May 2016 in quit groups and post your day 1 there because that will be your home group. Click on this link to get you to your quit group. May 2016 (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/11505241/19/#new)
Post your promise not to use nicotine first thing to start your day, honor your promise for that day, and then repeat. You will have to endure the nicotine withdrawal for a few days, but it will get out of your system. Drink plenty of water, exercise, and read as much as you can in here.
I quit with you.

Welcome to the suck my brother!
Many great people have chimed in so far with great words of witt. The one MAJOR thing that stands out to me is to get on roll daily and do it early. It only takes 2 minutes to do. So no matter HOW busy your day is going to be you have time to post roll right after you do your morning piss. There is never going to be any excuse you can use to convince me that you did not have time. A roll post at 8 pm is not a roll post, it is a status update. We really care in the morning that you are going to be quit all damn day not that you WERE quit all day.
Next is the get active part that was covered. You need to be as involved as you can get. I have saw folks hit the hall of fame and jump on the train with only 88 posts (hof is 100 days, you do the math)! WTF??? You should have hundreds and hundreds of posts by then. Trust me, there are folks here that will watch that kind of stuff. The more active you are, the more they will care about your quit. Are we saying you have to live on this site? No, not at all. Just be involved as you can, ESPECIALLY with you own quit group.
Next up, read as much as you can, especially when you are feeling down and out on some days and it WILL happen. Read all the Hall of Fame speeches that you can handle. After that, venture down in to the words of Wisdom. Some great stuff in there!
So here we are man, time to man up, grab the sack and pull it up tight and enjoy the ride! Grab some water, some exercise, some gum, some seeds, some fake dip (smokey mountain or hooch for example) or anything to help with the oral fixation.
Stay strong, and stay quit my brother! We are all here for you.
Chow for now.
