Title: finally quiting
Post by: wtractor024 on April 13, 2015, 10:18:00 AM
been dipping for the past 15 years. decided to quit on yesterday, along with alcohol. Its been over 24 hours so far, and only had to battle a few mind games. No big withdrawal yet.

Great decision to quit chew, have you posted roll? that is key, don't miss a day, it is a promise to yourself and your fellow quitters.
Quitting both chew and alcohol will be tough, but eliminating alcohol can help reduce caving.

Also see the alcohol quit area:

Good job posting roll. Understand that like all of us, you are an addict. You need to prepare for when the craves hit. Have a plan. Get your gum, candy, seeds, etc. ready. Drink lots of water and hit the gym. If you need to rage or vent do it here not at home.

Post roll every day, first thing in the morning.
Get involved.

Glad you are here. You got this!

Hey Tractor Man,

Might throw it into 4 wheel assist. That's one big PLANTER your pulling. Welcome to KTC
Might read my intro, after a crazy lung infection ordeal, I went with the Triple Stack. No alcohol, no dip, no caffeine.

Just saying it can be done and I believe it made all three easier doing them at the same time.

I would advise spending a TON of time here on KTC..... I mean every time you think about caving, get on here and vent, read, drink some coolaid, exchange phone numbers, and help others.
I even read 3-4 additional books on addiction. Learn the game, and how it works. Lean on relationships.... not chemicals.

I quit with you today.

PS. You stay strong EDD ODAAT, and one day, those seeds planted will reap a crazy good harvest. Beyond your imagination!

Hope this is still going well. I quit drinking 29 days ago and quit dip 36 days ago.

I quit both with you today.
