I like your last line in your intro. "I know I can beat this". Your damn right you can!!!! Its as simple as never putting that poison in your mouth again. Your story sounded so much like mine. I was a user for over 25 years to the poison brother. I say over 25 because saying just under 30 makes me ill.

Your right,,, You can do this. The problem with you is the same problem I had though. I tried numerous times and failed. I don't think one of my attempts made it one day. At least you've made it two. That shows your mental fortitude.

Here is how you improve your chances of making this quit stick. Go to the welcome center,, top left. Read on how and why we post roll. Pay particular attention to why. Use this site like its the most important book you've ever read. Read it like your life depends on it because it does. There is so much information on this site that shows you why, how and what about quitting.

Here is the thing bro. You want this quit to stick you have to do one thing you've never done. You have to make your life all about this quit. You are addicted to one of the most addictive drugs known to man. You have to make this quit more important than anything and in time everything else in your life will benefit. Live by two simple rules. One day at a time and never again for any reason.

I would like for you to join us brother. Your move. I'll be looking for your roll post. Glad to be quit with you.

Listen to everything this badass srans has to tell you. He is quit gold. It's going to be hard and it will suck. But it does get better. FREEDOM. That is what you are after brother. One day at a time. If quitting was easy everyone would do it. I quit with you today.

Just like Stan's and many others I was also a long time dipper. I started my quit 43 days ago. It sucked big time for the first week or so but I pulled through it and you will also. I also hunt and fish so I know how hard those triggers can be to work through.

Hang tough...you got this and you will be glad you did.

Luke Clausen (Bassmaster winner, FLW Championship winner) was a guest on this site last year and he talked about his quit on the tour. He's a spokesman for Hooch Snuff (a non tobacco herbal snuff).

Apparently, fishermen are no longer allowed to chew the real stuff on the water but are allowed to chew herbal snuff. However, this doesn't help a whole lot with those that quit as Skoal, Copenhagen, and the others have those tents that hand out the poison at every turn.

There is no more trying now. Do or do not. The stuff doesn't find its way into your mouth magically. You chose to put it there. Now, you have decided to quit. We can help you "choose" to keep it out of your mouth. There's lots of great inspiration here, and there's tons of guys fighting the exact same battle you are. Grab some numbers, and make some friends. These guys will have your back.

You can beat this. You just need to want it.

Do you want it?

Congratulations on your decision to quit! I saw your roll post. That is the key to you staying quit today. Yes I said today. That is all I want you to focus on. You made a committment by posting roll and that was to stay nicotine free on Sunday, September 1st. ODAAT is the key to being quit. I made that same committment this morning with you. Do whatever you need to do to stay clean today! Seeds, gum, candy, food, workout, bike, ... whatever it takes.
You can do this bro! QLF with you this fine Sunday!

You are off to a good start you have support coming out for you. WP Srans big players in the quit game you also have some serious rookies of quit showing up. I saw your post you said "I know" I can do this. Which means you have dropped the word "hope" out of your vocabulary the word really serves no purpose. This is a good start for you, I would agree with what others have told you embrace the suck. Remember how fucking terrible you are feeling right now and make the change in your mindset that you don't ever want to feel this awful again... We say NAFAR never again for any reason. When I was in withdrawals I kept NAFAR on a loop in my head. It got me through days that I wanted to say fuck it one dip all the pain is over....but I knew that I had support, these guys here would not let me go back to the nic bitch without an argument so I kept my ears pinned down and kept swinging. Swinging at air mostly I was in the fog I knew I was fighting just my opponent was a way better dueler than me. But a combo of the site and an emerging third ball I was developing I was able to pull through. Give yourself to the quit TOTALLY you deserve it.
PM me if you need numbers to add to your tool bag of quit.

Welcome Ranger, I can't offer better advice than what the heavy hitters already have given, but yes you can do this! It's hard of course, but you'll have nothing but support for sticking with it from this site. As always PM away if you need cell #'s, I don't think I've run into a guy yet that isn't willing to give them out for a text to help.

You sound pretty damn serious about your quit to me. Great job. Especially in the early stages of your quit, you do anything and everything to protect your quit.

Keep your eyes on the prize. One day nicotine free. I quit with you today.

If you read through the other intro's you may see some of my same words on them but they always hold true so I will just repeat them...

You are in for one nasty fight but you have the tools here to make it.

Read everything on here, post roll call each morning and don't dip. Wow....that sounds so easy, doesn't it?

Go load yourself up with gum, mints, fake chew, seeds and beef jerky. Also get some member phone numbers right now, they will help you through the rough parts.

Next, exercise to exhaustion every single day and drink so much water that you feel like you may bust. Both of these will help.

Make sure your wife reads about what you are going through. 99% chance that you are going to be a short fussed dick for the next 3-4 weeks. Try not to take it out on her and the kids. Get on here and take it out on us, we will be fine.

Like KC-Chicken said, protect your quit right now which means to be selfish and make it the number one priority. Your head will be screwed up for awhile but you will make it.

I quit with you.

Welcome Ranger520!!! Like you, I dipped for decades and thought that quitting was hopeless......until I found KTC. Shit, I figured that if these thousands of crazy bastards can stay quit, so can I. I'm now on day 441 and fight the good fight daily so that I can get up and do it tomorrow. But you know what Ranger, it's the best thing I've got going right now......You've got this. Just stay quit and holler Bro if you need anything.

Hey Ranger. I noticed that you have posted Day 3 today. Congratulations. You are serious about your quit and have taken the first step towards freedom. Look on the upper right side of your screen and you will see Inbox (1). Open it up and you will find a message from me. It is my telephone number. Call me when things feel shitty, you need to rage or vent some anger, or just want to shoot the shit about all this. I dipped for 28 years so I think I can relate to what you are going through. Congratulations on your decision to take back control of your life. Wayne

Very good that you have decided on inclusion your spouse vs exclusion. Very good move sounds like she understands that this is the place to be to help and maintain a quit. You will probably be fogged out just let her know what is happening let her help. PM if you need anything.

EXCELLENT! Tell your wife ALL ABOUT KTC. Whether she joins the spousal support section or rolls her eyes at "your internet friends", she will support you spending time on the site BECAUSE IT WORKS. You know she gets it if she asks if you posted roll yet and wants to know what day you're on.

You are on the right track, Ron.

Ha, it was probably a city coach somewhere that said..."winners never quit and quitters never win"

You are winning through quitting. Apparently you are a hell of a lot nicer than me too, I would have responded by hacking up some nice fleshy phlegm loogie (insert that hacking cough here) right into their area on the dock, turned around mooned them walking away then laughed my ass off.

Congrats on the hundo Ranger. (My boat has seats behind the driver and passenger - no one wanted to sit in the seat behind me) So glad to be done with all the bullshit that goes with nicotine. Enjoy each day of freedome and keep stacking the +1's.
