Title: 11AM
Post by: Murak on November 10, 2011, 01:50:00 AM
Hello to all. My name is Joe, I will be 23 the 17th, been in the military four years, OIF veteran, and an avid chewer. I'd like to first say congratulations to all who have quit, are still going, and to do the best with strengthening your resolve. I will throw my last can out tomorrow afternoon at 11AM. I have read, read, and reread this site, talked with my parents, my girlfriend, friends, and told them all about this. All I had to see was this being related to heroin and that was enough for me. After losing a dear friend to it last year, almost exactly a year ago, I couldn't take it anymore. I'm ready. Thank you for your time.

Joe,

What's wrong with now! 11am tomorrow will never get here--that's what the addict always say "tomorrow, I will quit".

You need to Quit Now! Post roll NOW!

In response to all, all nic is gone. I will not have a dip today, I know it's not in the correct area, but this is my first Roll Call.

Post Roll hooooooorah. February is full of some badass motherfuckers, get their numbers. In this game accountability is king. They will know how you are feeling and it will make things so much fucking easier.

Great choice on tossing that shit. That's a hard step... I remember telling myself "I don't want to waste the money I spent on that half tin of that cancer causing bullshit". As addicts we are not in a right state of mind. Here's to being less retarded.

Thanks for serving.

Murak,

Good job. I sent you a PM. When you get a chance, post roll in the February group. Post day one today, since you have dumped the nic.

Man up and quit.

Don't talk about it, be about it.

Post roll.

Honor your word.

Repeat every morning.

Your quit is yours.

Own it.

Protect it.

You will quit by the numbers.

We will teach you.

I haven't used since 5AM yesterday morning. I've posted Roll twice. "Pussy" is what I get, not what I am that I can guarantee. Try and belittle my committment, it will only strengthen my resolve. Yeah it's fucking hard, but I could give a shit. If I didn't want it, I wouldn't be here, but I understand that's part of your game. I don't know you and you certainly don't know me. All I'd like to do is bash on you for that comment but that's the nicotine and I'm trying to do everything I can to control myself. Time doesn't seem to move, nothing is enjoyable, I feel like a sloth, I can't figure out if I'm happy or not, my girl's smile doesn't make me smile. Fuck this shit, this is what was making me happy? This same chemical that's making me feel like this? My head knows I want it out, I start sweating, I feel loopy, I get chills. What a joke, my body's my temple. Fuck this garbage.

You are smart for someone that still has nicotine in his system ;)

Congratulations! You have made the best decision of your life.

PM sent.

Even just a couple of days of quit each day, it gets better.

Perhaps they've statistically enduced the increase of nicotine since the late 1960's to create a covered way of 'population control?' I don't believe it's too unruly a question to leave out considering you can buy a cheese burger for 99cents but not a pound of broccoli. This way the population is killing itself sooner, hence, the government not having to pay life insurance/pensions, or much smaller amounts. Interesting.

Life expectancy for a male in the US has increased by 8 years since 1960. If the government is trying to kill us sooner, it ain't working. But that would be normal for our government.

...blow me Cope we can talk conspiracy theories nicotine fog or not. Considering the day and the lack of nicotine I figure my debates will be even harder to reach a compromise. :ph43r: Bring it. Ha.

Gets easier every day. I like (pros):
1. Saving my money
2. Gums/teeth
3. Overall health
4. Not hearing, "eww" and feeling like a total jackass.
5. Life
I dislike (cons):
1. Not having fingers looking like shaded brown tar
2. Dirty fingernails
3. Clumpy bottles of what appears to be doctor pepper (but we all really know what it is)
4. Stains on my clothes from continuous wiping
5. Obvious bad breath
6. Dry throat, while also choosing to blatantly ignore
7. Painful gums
8. Disappointing looks/comments
9. Mouth sores
10. Accidental spit bottle swig
11. An occasional smoke w/the dip
12. Putting a dip in when I know it's inappropriate and have no spitter, but do it anyway
13. Doing it in front of my little brother and sister, telling them it's ok...you just don't do it 'bang head'
14. Lying
15. Feeling controlled
I'll die before I live in that cage again, or any cage, for that matter. That's my quit today.

Add "Not being a slave to a can of poison dirt" to your list.

Good to see this success, keep it up! You know why you need to quit and you know why you cant keep chewing. Its in our hands, we decide if we want to chew. Our craves will come hard as hell but they will pass by and more and more the good feeling we get from being quit will take over. Keep it up !

The Al man
