Title: Better Late Than Never
Post by: TimeKiller911 on December 07, 2014, 05:36:00 PM
When I joined this forum, I was still hesitant on my quit. Therefore, instead of wasting folk's time and making a mockery of the dedicated members of this forum, I wanted to wait before I made my intro official. Well, IT'S OFFICIAL! I am currently on quit day 10 of the rest of my life. I started dipping at the "badass" age of 12. Good ole Garrett Snuff. Man that stuff was nasty! But, I made myself look cool and moved on to better tasting snuff in Copenhagen. Not eating lunch at school and saving that lunch money to support a 1-2 can a day habit for the past 25 years. Being me, I was an expert of vices and had an excuse for all of them. Co-incedentally, on November 23 last year, (at the request of my daughters) I quit alcohol; making the tobacco quit a bit harder and easier all at the same time. The dip quit was kinda pushed on me, by my health insurance carrier. I was notified that if I used tobacco, my insurance would increase $600/year. A TAX that pissed me off, so I flirted with quitting. Well, when I realized that I had an addiction, that pissed me off at tobacco/nicotine. So, being the independent person I am, I decided to quit for good cause I refuse to let anyone or anything to control my life. So here I am. I love inshore saltwater fishing (and dipping), love shooting (and dipping), I love to hunt any game except turkey (and dipping), enjoy coaching my daughters' fast-pitch softball team (and dipping). I'm a die hard New Orleans Saint fan (paperbag and all!) and look forward to watching the Biloxi Shuckers AA baseball team play this year. I wish all of you the best in your quit and hope your as successful at it as I am going to be!

Welcome! Congrats on making a great decision!

First things first, you need to not "love dipping." You need to learn to hate tobacco, nicotine, and everything that comes with it.

Second, you have never quit before. You have only stopped. You started a quit 10 days ago.

The way this place works is we post roll each day as a promise to everyone on this site that we will not use today. Wake up, piss, post roll. Repeat.

If you are reading to jump in head on over to the Pre HOF March 2015 group: Here (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/10761232/104/#new)topic/10761232/104/#new (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/10761232/104/#new) and post roll.

There are directions at the top of the roll post about how to post roll. If you cant find them, follow them here:
Instructions for posting roll:
1. Quote the LATEST roll post.
2. Left click the bottom box.
3. Ctrl + A
4. Ctrl + X
5. Left click in the top box.
6. Ctrl +V
7. Add your name and number of days to the BOTTOM of the Bad-Ass Quitters section.

Again, congrats on your decision and welcome! Quit on!

Get EDD tattooed on the back of your right hand so it will remind you of how often you need to post roll.

I see you did post roll in May a day or 2. They've already moved you to caved/MIA on their spreadsheet. Are you in or no?

What the story dude? Roll call is a daily promise and takes 10 seconds. You have hundreds of quitters ready to get behind your quit, but you need to get behind ours as well.

I saw you were on today, so help us help you.
