Title: Day 1
Post by: A.J. on August 01, 2017, 10:29:00 AM
Last night, I googled "withdrawal symptoms," because I was sitting here , anxiety through the roof, thinking "I need to quit. I hate this. I hate myself when I do this."

What I found was a list on this forum, of withdrawal symptoms, followed by posts submitted by people who were quitting and experiencing things that weren't listed. Then, I saw the bottom right corner of my screen. A chat room. I clicked on it, and begged someone for some pointers. Some very kind people came on and assured me that I could do this, and directed me to account set-up and the appropriate quit group.

So here I am, day 1, no nicotine. I've added my name to the roll call list, I've promised no nicotine, and I intend to hold up that promise.

I'm A.J., and I have been addicted to nicotine for 7 years. But today, I'm not letting it run my life anymore.

This is doable man. You aren't making a promise that you cannot keep. Your promise is one day. Should that become difficult, come on here and work it out. Glad you stepped up and I quit with you today.

A.J., power comes from understanding that you are 100% in control as to whether or not you ever pack a lip again. You are, not nic. Absolutely nothing or no one can make you do it otherwise. And if you are a man of your word, and you posted your promise not to use today, then you will be in good shape. YOU CAN DO THIS.

Proud to be quit with you today.

Aj awesome job quitting. anxiety was my biggest struggle at first. I found out recently that magnesium can help calm a person down it really helps with anxiety look into it you wont regret it. The only downfall is it might make you little more tired during the day.
