Hey everyone!
My name is Zingy. I've been using grizzly for about 7 years. At my worst, I was on 2-3 cans a day (when I was still cage fighting). Now I'm on 1/day.
I got married last month, my wife and step-daughter don't know I chew. But because my wife and I want to have kids of our own, and I want to be around to watch them grow up; I'm done with tobacco.
I took my last pinch about 20 minutes ago and dumped the can in the toilet. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys as I become a jerk during this phase.

Welcome. Go to the Welcome Center. Learn how to post roll. Find your September '16 group.
Post Roll every day - that's our promise to the group to not use nicotine in any form.
Make your promise early in the day, and keep your word. It's that simple.
We quit one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow, focus on today.
I'm proud to quit with you.

35 year addict here. I'm glad that you flushed your stuff and are taking that first step towards freedom. It will be hard. Drink a lot of water and do whatever you can to take your mind off of putting that poison in you mouth.
Post roll every damn day. Make a promise and keep your promise. You can do it!
I quit with you today!

One thing for sure you got right, you will definitely be an asshole for awhile. You may want to come clean with your woman. Just remember walk away, can't blame anyone but yourself, no one has put that shit in your mouth but you! Come in here and cuss at us we can handle it. We probably gonna cuss you back a little but it will help us all! I quit with you today!

Welcome! It's not gonna be easy, but there is a very strong support network here.

When you feel the asshat/jerk/basterd come on that is hurtful to the ones close to you, step back from the situation. Breath. I know it sounds trite. But, you put work into it you will find success. You know what work will do. You also know that is how you get success. Put work into it. We quit one day at a time here. Drink plenty of water and powerade. Energy drinks actually spike your attitude and lack of control. Plus, the dehydration they cause can be horrendous on a quit. Plenty of fruits and tons and tons of water. Be sure to talk with people close to you about what is going on. Look at it like this. You do what was suggested and back up from the situation and breathe for a bit. except, since your wife doesn't know what is going on and why you are doing it she continues the attack/argument/frustrating behaviour. Right? I know it will be tough letting her know. You will feel better if you don't have this invisible elephant between you two.
Congrats and welcome!!!
Just for today, Self.

Welcome. Cage fighting? You're a tough guy. You can do this. Post roll. It's your daily promise that you won't use. Then just be a man of your word.

Welcome Mr. Light.....
It's 9pm on the east coast and I haven't seen a Day 2 post from you. I sincerely hope things are okay, but feel compelled to tell you the way this works. You wake up, you piss, you post roll. No excuses.....
Looking to see you on roll soon.

Yeah, my internet was out yesterday and I didn't get to post. It's back up today though, so I posted day 3.
That aside... yesterday fucking sucked! I had massive headaches the entire day. Luckily my boss let me work in the back so I wouldn't have to deal with people and took my work mobile so no one would call me. I felt like I hadn't slept in 2 days, even though I ended up sleeping for 10 hours the night before. Is that normal? I see a lot of things about insomnia, but I seem to be sleeping more.
So basically I had the fog and a complete lack of energy and drive... but I made it to day 3...

I'm on Day 2. I'm a mom to 3. Stay quit now, before kids. The guilt of continuing the habit after having kids is unbearable. I look forward to seeing your success.

Do you have a phone? Does it have the capability of texting? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, there is NEVER A REASON to not be on roll. Text your quit to someone who DOES have internet capability.
If you have a smartphone, you can post your own roll directly from there as well.
Yesterday was just your body convulsing because it's not getting its "fix" of poison. Sooner or later that will be a thing of the past. the most important thing you can do right now is whatever you need to to not put that crap in your pie hole.

I got it. I'm posting from my phone now

There's no Good excuse to not post roll! Almost every human being in America has a cellphone, texts someone if you don't have internet access. Quit on! What you put in here usually shows in what you get out!

Welcome Zingy!
I'm not a grizzled vet like a lot of these guys - but I'm 1 week quit.
Check your inbox. Seriously try to connect with people in our group - it's a real life saver when you're really craving and you can just shoot off a text to vent/be supported/etc.
