Hi all I am going to quit after about 34 or so years of this stuff. I guess I am really not nicotine free because I am getting help with the 21MG patch and some Smokey Mountain. I am pretty sure 21 MG is no where near the level I was at but it is really helping. I am going to do 2 weeks of this. I was hoping someone could let me know should I go to the 14 MG / 7 MG after that or just quit the patches.

WOW. A QUIT DAY PARTY! WOOHOO! I haven't been to one in ages!
Down to 21MG? That's...that's...fucking ridiculous. Rip that shit off and quit for fucks sake. Did you read what goes on here? There is not half in, half out.
This is pussified fucking bullshit.
PS. Do you prefer flowers or cured meats at your quit day party?

Get rid of the patch why try to cure nicotine addiction with nicotine!! We don't allow any nicotine of any form in our quitting. I've been an addict for nearly 40 yrs. and I also had a plan that included nicotine in quitting 135 days ago. I threw everything out flushed the last 3 cans down the toilet and QUIT! If I can so can you. It is as simple as going into your November 2012 group and post your day 1, commit to be nicotine free for the day. Everyone can keep that promise. Then come back tomorrow and do the same thing. Reach out to us your fellow addicts and offer help also. Using patches is fine if you want to quit with help from some other group but if you want our help you must be nicotine free. I would love to help you and offer my # as a contact to reach out to in your rage and craving. You must make that decision MSMT. Check your inbox(1) Ill share more of my story and will be ready to help when you are ready.

Welcome MSMT,
I used for 33 years. Quit for 548 days. If I can do it- so can you......
wt is right- no patch- it just prolongs the withdrawal. Use the fake if you choose- I did, and it got me through those first 2 days. But get that nicotine out of your system so the real quit can begin. Rip it off, throw it in the garbage. Buckle up - you will go through a short time in hell- but freedom is on the other side.
Join the quit revolution. It's what all the cool kids are doing.

Sorry if I offended anyone with the question. It thought it said you could ask questions in here and in the Cafe. Thanks 30yraddict and WT57 for the advice. Nice to see there are a couple of people who give great advice.

My apologies. I guess I got a little over anxious to think of supplementing nicotine with nicotine as quitting. I've been here long enough to help one or two people and I know that the method practiced here works if you want it. If you mentally rip off the patch as well. The liberation and sense of power you get from facing your fear straight on will empower you. You will question what fear is going forward. That's the power of this approach. A systematic approach to ween yourself is not a system built on the belief that you can do this. And that my friend is all that this system is. The belief that you are strong enough mentally to face a day in your life without ingesting nicotine. It sounds so simple but is such a mental chasm to cross. You have got to believe you are strong enough to do it.

Souliman was checking up on me to see if I was going to quit. I tried to reply but think I jacked it up. I did the Patch thing for 5 days. It helped me a ton. Well as it turns out I am on day 3 on no Nicotine. The last patch came off Thursday. I am still doing the Fake chew. My question do I keep doing fake just to confuse my brain or throw that in also. Thanks

Keep going with the fake chew, seeds, atomic fireballs, buttplugs .....whatever keeps you from using nic. Yes, it's that easy. And it's damned hard. But you can do it. The question is: WILL you do it? If you use the tools here at KTC, your decision to quit will still be hard, but manageable.
post roll, keep your promise, Repeat. I between the previous steps, I suggest you stay close to KTC.

Question for the guys. I am on day 44 and it was like I just quit last week. I still get light headed sometimes during the day. I am just quitting the Smokey Mountain and that is even kind of tought to quit that. Is that why I am having these problems. Thanks for any input.
