hey everyone, my name is Jesse and i dipped for about 16 years. Wintergreen long cut was my chew of choice. Im on day 4 and so far not to bad. Ive had quite a few cravings but have been able to forget about it. Been a few instances where i forgot i quit and looked around the house for a can for a few minutes before i laugh and realize that im NEVER dipping again

Jesse you will be in December 12 quit group get your promise posted and do it early every day. The poison is mostly out of your system now but the psychological withdrawal and pain linger, gradually decreasing with time. Read all you can in words of wisdom and HOF speeches, your fellow addicts have a lot to share in making your quit successful! Embrace the suck so you never want to go back and be like a dog going back to eat his own vomit! Don't worry about forever, quit today that is easier to accept and do!

Welcome to the December group. Remind yourself even when you aren't craving that you're a quitter!

I'm on day 4 as well Jesse. Each day has gotten a little bit easier. The first 2 were pure hell for me. The biggest issue right now for me is sleeping like shit. Hopefully that will improve as well.

Nice job JReed. The cravings will get less intense and less frequent. And you will find yourself laughing at all the addict behaviors you use to live with as your quit becomes stronger and stronger...
Don't ever forget how much the first few weeks can suck. You never want to repeat that suck...
Welcome to your freedom from nic!
