Title: Day 1 of Quit
Post by: emiller333 on July 08, 2013, 02:30:00 PM
Hello everyone,

My name is Eric. I'm 23 years old, and I've been an avid user of chew tobacco for the last 6 years. My go-to brand of choice was Grizzly Mint, but I've basically used them all from Grizzly, Skoal, and Copenhagen. Today is the day I say F*** dip! For the last two weeks, I've finally realized how easy I cave in to buying that new can as soon as I run out of the old one. It's embarrassing to be hooked on something that bad, that will in return do nothing but harm my health.

Today is my Day 1 of my quit, and I know I can't do this on my own. That's why I came to this community of people going through the challenges I will be facing, and fighting through it together! I'm willing to enter this community as just a stranger to everyone, and hopefully leave one day with supportive friends.

Welcome Eric! Great choice to gain your freedom from nicotine. If we can do this, you can do this. Read everything in the pink Welcome Center link on the banner to help get started. Post roll every day, get to know the other quitters in the Oct HOF class. They are going through the same stuff as you right now.
PM me if I can help you.

Great choice! Listen to T-cell and read the welcome center, there is a lot of info as to how to this sight works and what makes KTC so successful and you will want to take advantage of the owl edge you can get in this addiction for your quit! This is also one hell of a brotherhood. A big one and my personal favorite is posting roll. PM me if you need anything and hey, why would we ever want to leave this sight? Go get set up and post roll we will quit with you every step of the way bro!

Thank you for your support T Cell! I just posted my first roll call I believe in the October 2013 Pre HOF class. I think you and me can get along with a mutual love for hockey! I worked on the Minnesota State men's hockey team during my college career, so I was able to travel to Magness Arena and witness the Pioneers destroy the Mavericks..

Well right now the nicotine is trying to kick my ass for not feeding the monster... haha day 1 of a long journey but I'm ready. I was so mad at myself this morning for caving yesterday evening and buying a can. I woke up, dumped the stuff in the toilet, and flushed it away! It was a waste of $5, but a weight lifted off my shoulder that it was MY choice, not just because I was out.

Okay. Now just keep telling it to piss off! Keep involved in this thread. Heck I stay logged in at work and read it every so often to keep it fresh.

The craves are a pain in the ass but use the tips the guys talk about. Water, seeds, exercise, punch yourself in the face or nuts, etc. whatever it takes to keep u from using bro. The more you read the more you will understand how powerful the Nic Bitch actually is and why you will always be an addict who can't ever, ever, ever, ever, and I mean ever let her back in the door. Damn SLut!! I thought she was my girl. But no, she has been screwing everybody on here.

I need some seeds now that I think about it.

I wish I could add more to help you out but, reading is the key, read the symptoms related to what day you are on. I guarantee you, it is accurate, look at some of the older intros, with lots of replies. Read the whole thing, from where they started, to where they are now. My first month I was glued to my phone reading, all day at work about what I'm experiencing. Reach out get some numbers, and use them! PM if you need another one! Stay Strong!
