Just hit the two week quitting mark. I am struggling not to start packing cope a day. I am having been using a tin of smokey mountain again to stay quit. I am 27 and have dipped for 6 years.
A friend of mine wound up needing major surgery after smoking for 40 years, and I knew something needed to change. This is TOUGH.

Thanks. I am relying on my stubbornness and willpower to not go back. I speak a lot for a living, and if i lose part of my tongue, lip or jaw, that all goes away.
I started by using bacc-off. That really had a great texture, but is hard to find. I am now using a lot of smokey mountain. Are there any health effects with any of these alternatives?

No health effects that I'm aware of. At this point do whatever it takes to keep from stuffing cancer in you face. Don't worry about creating another oral fixation habit because quite frankly none of the alternatives to chew weather it be seeds, gum, fake chew, coffee grounds whatever will lead to your jaw falling off!

@jimbo-
I used SmokeyMountain Wintergreen the first month after I stopped nicotine/tobacco cold-turkey. This really helped cut my addiction in half, as I found out that the oral fixation was part of the reasons I liked dipping in the first place.
Although SM products may be safe from cancer causing agents, remember it may be habit forming, expensive as cans are cheaper than tobacco, but also smaller can size, and very messy.
But, it was a great training wheel to help transition into freedom. Good luck!
