Title: Counting hours, not days
Post by: grant_man on May 20, 2013, 10:34:00 PM
I decided to quit chewing at 2:30 this afternoon when i realized i didnt have any chew left in my can. Im currently using sun flower seeds, sugar free gum, and ice cream! lol i am only 6 hours in, and have already made a bet with my fiance that i can make it two weeks without a dip. If i win, she takes me to texas roadhouse and pays. If she wins, well, we all know how that one is gonna go. Im actually nervous about what is going to happen, everything ive done over the last 8-10 years involved chewing. showering, drinking, working, firefighting, driving, literally everything except for while im sleeping. so heres to 6 hours, and waking up tomorrow morning 14 hours free!

Grant, I don't know where to start.

Fuck bets. Just quit. Today. We do that here by posting roll with other quitters who have decided to change their lives for the better at around the same time as us. Posting roll is your personal promise not to use nicotine for one day. Today is your day 1. Is your word worth a damn? If so, all you have to do is come here first thing each morning and promise not to use nicotine in any form for one single day.

Check this out - index.php?showforum=13 (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showforum=13) - and go post your day one in August 2013.

Hey grant
I recently read about a guy named Scott (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=8234). He bet Cancer that he could dip all he wanted. He lost. Even gave Cancer part of his throat. But that wasnt enough for greedy ol Cancer - he went and told his good friend Death about Scott. Now Scott is trying radiation to placate Death. And, word is that Death has decided to take him slowly...his daily price being 1 pound of body weight and every ounce of dignity for the next few months. He didnt tell Scott, but Death surprised him by asking Shame and Regret to visit him. I hear they come by multiple times daily....

Good luck though Grant. Enjoy that steak. You can "bet" Scott wishes he could.

Agree with pretty nut.

Fuck betting if you can make it two weeks. Just worry about one day.

Gotta be honest...I don't think you're very serious about this. Why are you quitting? Just becauseyou thought it would be cute when your tin was empty and to bet your sweety pie if you could make it two weeks????

That MIGHT get you to two weeks (doubt it) but my money says that if you do make it that far, youll be stuffing your face full of worm dirt the minute your fiance pays the bill.

I'm not convinced your serious. Tell me why you want to quit, tell me a little more about yourself, paint me a better picture.

I'm down to help you but of your just gonaa torture yourself for two weeks so you can throw peanut shells on the floor and get a t-bone and then go back to finger banging a can then what's the point?

Show me some WANT.

There's not a lot of quit in this post, and that unfortunantly leads to failure. Don't quit for a bet, don't quit for your fiance, quit for YOU! Anything less and it's not going to work.

It's simple... There's 2 sides A,B  the zone. Your either smart as shit, or the latter. A side is strong side, we simply don't use, support our brothers  sisters, and will fight the enemy to the bitter end. We have already won in a way..
B side are simply the ones I feel sorry for, because they don't know they're under a death spell.. The zone is where you're at. You don't know what side to be on. Like a lost soul.. Make the right choice, (smart) and you'll be rewarded beyond comprehension.. peace

No idea. But the post count of "1" makes me think that my dollar is safe.
