I figured I would revisit this introduction since I am back here after 2 previously failed attempts to quit on this site. My name is Brion N I am 20 years old I started dipping when I was 17 and have been in a battle to kick the habit for the past 2 years. I am currently a Chemical Engineering Student entering my Junior Year at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, NY. I am in a Fraternity Alpha Chi Rho and some of my fellow brothers were dippers, I found it difficult to quit while living with them, luckily they have graduated and no one in my house currently uses any tobacco products. I have a beautiful girlfriend from which I have hid my habit and have decided that its time to take my life back and to not revolve everything I do around a can of poison. I don't want to be that guy with half a jaw or who dies from oral cancer, I have already had my own scares and its time I respect my body.

Today os 8/17/2012 and it is my second day of not packing a lip, while i admit i have a headache and am definitely feeling the cloudy feeling in my head i feel good now that i have the support of this community behind me and i really appreciate it!
nice job and you have made a very smart decision. Be tough as you will be on a wild ride over the next few months til your body and mind re-write itself to get rid of the nic lady from your life.
just remember that you can do it and that nicotene does NOT make anything better.

The first three days of your quit are the hardest. If you remain committed and keep your guard up, you can get your freedom back. I applaud you for taking that first step and coming to this site for help. We are all addicts and must fight this battle as a team. Keep up the good work. Stay strong, stay quit!! PM me if you need anything.

I had been a member in the past but struggled and after day 4 I craved that was a little less then a year ago Ive been dipping about a tin a day for a year and a half now and over the past few weeks I have dramatically decreased my nicotine intake however I still have been dipping usually once or twice a day and I finally am to the point where enough is enough however I need as much support as possible and so I'm back here looking to kick the habit for good

I been off the can for 3 weeks and a couple of days. tell you what its been a bitch of a ride so cowboy up and hang on....below is what I went though in the first 2 weeks........................................................Here I am 2 weeks into my quit and the fog is clearing up.as I look back in the past 2 weeks I have realized what hell that I did go though. for those who just quit hang on day 1 is hard,day2 your craving, day 3 your having some crazy nic cravings and moody,day4 cravings are starting to let off but still want the can,day5 you stay hungry as hell and you bowl movement schedule is screwed up,day6 headache city from mild to throbing also can't sleep for crap,day7 first full week some mild cravings but there easy to forget, still can't poop right bunch of farting,no longer eating all of the contents in refrigerator, mild headaches few and far between, sleep becomes more easy,Days 8-12 body and mind kinda at idle speed.and now day 13 being able to remember what it was like.during the those days I really dint know if I was coming or going. But anyone can quit. its you that has to want it tho.I tell the guys at the firehouse if your going to be better than anyone here it better be yourself today, and don't wory about tomorrow untill its today. One day at a time this is how you quit the can.use this site contact anybody on here for help, for those who are in their early days of quitting contact me I will help and encourage you though the difficult battle.

quitthatshit2394,
are you quitting? or just coming clean on your cave? You know the routine, NO nicotine..
if you are quitting post in Roll Call and toss your cans in the trash.. If you want to quit you have to get serious. I was sick of the shit and lies, i told for 10 years. I don't want to have my spouse find out about my dip problem because of an oral surgeon is ripping out half my jaw..
You get through the "SUCK" and then it is the head games.
I road the suck out and through the end of the physical withdrawal (about a week,) 4 days doesn't cut it.
you quit your last quit too soon. You need to embrace that suck as is if it your best friend and worst enemy, you know what i mean, the suck lead up to the cave. ride that suck through and you get passed it.
a lot of guys are on this site dail, i will PM my phone number as will other people.. Call before you cave.

1) You need to post on your original account. Alternate accounts are not allowed. If you forgot your password or something, let the admins know and they can take care of it for you.
2) If you're coming back you need to answer the 3 questions:
- what happened?
- why did it happen?
- What are you going to do differently this time?
3) post in both your old and new group explaining yourself.
-
Not much more to add that hasnt been covered, Kubrick has this one covered. All I can add is Board Guidelines index.php?act=boardrules (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?act=boardrules) which covers about all what you gotta do.
focus on your plan to prevent such a short stoppage in the future get active with the site meet peep get numbers so if you think about caving again you are armed with info and numbers to help keep you quit. did you cave after you posted roll?

If you're trying to stealth into our badass quit group, you better man up and answer the questions. As well as the other baddass quit groups you shit on in the process of your sexcapade with the nic bitch

Looks originally like a Nov12 quitter....as I see the initial posting in here.
Wow when you answer the questions (and this time look deep down inside), go take a look at where you could have been. Might give you some extra inspiration this time.
