Title: I'm quitting!

Hi I'm Scott. I started dipping 3 1/2 years ago in the fall of 2013. I must of tried to quit a dozen times since starting.
10 days is the longest I have quit for. I seem to just buy a can for no reason, then I'm right back to dipping.
I am glad to be here on the forum, and trying something new in my quit plan this time. So many people have quit - now it's my time to quit.

This is your Quit group topic/30163365/166/#new (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/30163365/166/#new) they are the people that will hit 100 days quit with you HOF or hall of fame. Go there and post your promise to not use nicotine today that means no sigs. chew nicotine replacement therapy basically no nicotine in any shape or form. Post your promise early and every day . Drink a lot of water to flush the poison out of your system, and read all that you can on the site it will help you stay quit.

Today is day 3 of my quit. KTC has helped a lot, it took me 5 hours to finally fall asleep last night!

Anybody know what might help with sleeping better? Or is it just a thing to get past further along in my quit? Thx

Melatonin helped me through the first week. I'd pop about 5mg around 8:00 pm. would help me go to sleep and miss that late night jones. Didn't help me stay asleep much past 2 am,,, but i think it did help.

Yeah, I had issues with sleep for a few weeks around day 15-20. A bit of nyquil helped me. Melatonin didn't touch it for me. Once I got past day 50 or so the sleep issues went away for me as a whole.

Frozen cherries in some honey greek yogurt.
Knocked me right out...

First off edit your post and take your number off the public forum. Use the PM system to send your digits. Second, you are correct in that had you drank the KTC kool aid and swapped digits prior to your cave, you would've had somebody to talk you off the ledge. Now what you need to do is get your ass in the June 17 group, answer the 3 Qs and get on roll and post your promise. Once all that is done you need to reach out and swap digits with at least 3 people in your group. This is how you are successful, through hard work and diligence every damn day. Now nut up, quit feeling sorry for yourself and get back in the fight!
