Visited this site before, when I attempted to quit, but didn't get involved and obviously, it didn't work. Quit for many reasons, although quitting for me, is the strongest reason. Quit 4 days ago and started doing roll call. Being held accountable is a huge positive for me. Dipped 2 cans/day for more than 30 years.
The physical withdrawal has not been as hard as I expected, so far.
I learned the "one dip won't hurt" too many times in the past and realized I am, much like my grandfather was to alcohol, an "addict".

Good! Welcome to KTC, where caving is never excusable and where you will be held accountable provided you follow the program. What is the program you ask. Post roll every damn day and make friends. It's simple. Dig your heels in and let's quit this shit for life!

Congrats on changing your life.

Do exactly what Claws told you. The KTC recipe is So simple, and it works great IF you buy into it and follow the rules.
#1 POST ROLL EVERYDAY
#2 Keep your Promise of no nicotine that day
#3 Repeat #1 and #2 tomorrow.
Read, Learn, Make friends to weave your web of accountability.
My story is the same as yours and after finding this site and doing the above I am finally free of this poison today. Welcome Brother. You CAN DO IT!

I can't identify with your comment about "quitting for the 2nd time." Of course, I have never made a mistake...ever. HAHAHA

Just your 2nd time? Jeeez...I quit hundreds of times before I found this site. Nothing ever worked before I found this site. Roll Call, mutual acountability and the folks on here are the only reasons I have been able to get free. If you buy in, you'll live free too.

So, buy in. Go whole hog. Live free! Congrats on a great choice, brotha!!!

Getting involved is huge. Receiving encouragement is helpful; but I think helping others in their quit is even better. Encouraging others in their quit helps to remind me of how seriously I take mine.

No sir. No other screen name. I have said before "screw this stuff, I'm quitting", but never attempted in earnest with any kind of plan. I read thru this website but didn't quite understand everything and did not join a roll call. This time reading and listening ang hoping that I can kick this addiction with the help of other addicts!

Hope is crap. Get rid if that word from your quit vocabulary. You ARE quit and you WILL stay quit.

Stay strong, Bro. We don't hope. We just quit everyday. You can do this.

Hey bro. Posting roll at 5:49PM is bull crap. Thats not making a promise for the day, it is more like checking in at the end of the day. Thats not how it works here. Post roll early and commit to your quit. Get involved in the site, and put more than 2 minutes of your day, into your quit. If you get to lax, no matter what day your on, you will be tested to the max. Post roll EDD and do it in the AM, or whenever your day starts. Quit on

Smokey, how I can I help you learn how to post roll correctly? You bump people every day, and do not respond to my PM's. Do you need a phone call? It really isn't that hard, especially after 5o+ days. Let me know how I can help.
