Well after 16yrs. of cope I'm done. I've tried before and ended up thinking i'll just get one more and we all know how that goes. I'm quitting for myself this time no one else!!! So I got this. BTW this is day 1.

Well done Mikey! It's always great to see another quitter taking control of their life. So, you made the decision and now it's time to back that up with a promise. Head on over to April '14 (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=9259) and put your name and number of days quit (1). This is your new home...
The thong colored welcome tab up top there will explain how to post your promise and why we do it every day. Grab yourself some alternatives (fake chew, fireballs, sunflower seeds or Trident gum) to take the edge off and drink lots of water to diminish the headaches. Follow the plan and you cannot fail this time. Welcome to freedom!

Glad to have you here. Make your comittment and post roll with the April Quit Group (your quit group is the month in which you WILL be 100 days quit). Lots of great support here on KTC. Read all you can and know what to expect. I am only a newbie too, but I can already tell you it will get better. Here's some tips - the links are live when you post to your quit group:
1. Be sure to visit the WELCOME CENTER for what you need to know.
2. Stop by Introductions and tell us something about yourself.
3. Knowing what to expect is found here and here.
4. Print this Contract to give up... ; put it in your wallet and commit to signing it before you can take another dip.
5. Read about Tom and Jenny Kern , It will be a tough read, but do it. Start from the beginning
6. Unsure how to Post Roll? Click here -- How to post roll. Still confused? Watch how it is done
7. For inspiration stop by Words of Wisdom, HOF Speeches, and the Hall of Legends

Going good at times I feel like im in a dream or something, get dizzy at times and headaches that come and go. my work day don't start till 6pm so my chat times r going to be late.

You've got a nice quit going on. Now you're out of the "suck" and into the mind games. Give a shout out if you need it. I was a 15-year Cope user too. It's a hard road to beat this thing, but every day feels good to be free.
