today is my first day off the can. I started the summer going into my freshman year of college, and and have tried many times to quit. the longest i have ever gone without nictotine is just 12 days. I saw the pictures of the people that developed gum cancer and it scares the shot out of me. I have already gotten cavities and decay in my teeth from it, yet i STILL continued to dip knowing it was going to kill me at some point. Well, I havee decided to quit and look forward to getting help from people that have done it and also going through quitting with others. I hope I havent developed mouth disease or gum cancer

Welcome to the best place to get quit and "be quit".
Before you get the disease called cancer, lets work on the disease that you do have. Nicotine addiction.
Never cured, but totally controlled.
We do this ODAAT.
You don't have to be a slave. Freedom is yours with hard work and deciding every damn day that you will not put the poison in your mouth.
Stick around and your quit will stick, period

Bingo!
Welcome to the site. Post roll. We are here to support you, to listen to you vent, to help you track your progress.
Fear is the best motivator, in my opinion. My suggestion is to see a dentist just to put your mind at ease. But do NOT let a clean bill of health lull you into a state of complacency that would lure you back to dip.

Post roll and take your life back.
