Well, here i am about 12 hours into my quit. Ive only been dipping for 3 years but man it got ahold of me quick. At most recent i was dipping a tin a day and know its getting worse. So im done with dip, no more.

There's only one way to do this buddy. Find your quit group and post your promise everyday that you are quit. The instructions are in the Welcome Center. You can do this if you want to be free bad enough. Welcome to KTC. The most badass Quitters anywhere. PM me if you need more help.

Where do i find the quit groups?? Im beginning day 2 of nic free! Feels good but I've got a long ways to go! One day at a time!
-
Go to the quit groups page, find May 2017 HOF group, and post up your promise to not use nicotine for today. Just today. And tomorrow, when you wake up, do it again and start all over. One day at a time.

Im not real tech savvy, ill make sure i find it pronto. Thank you

Gauruntee i will post roll tomorrow! Thanks for the support, today was actually fairly easy. I did use some spitz and gum today but didnt really have the urge to use, im sure today has been an anomaly but will take every advantage i can get to stay away from it.

Now that im a little more clear, i can let you guys in on my life a bit. Im 33 years old, never once considering dipping even the whole time i was rodeoing. Then one of my friends from college moved into my town and we started trapping together, he was a dipper (skoal straight) and thats how i got my start. It was always just getting a dip from him when we were together, then it was me buying my own tin which would last for a long time..... i then started dipping in my work vehicle and i was on the road 12 to 18 hours a day, needless to say it got outta hand. I was dipping a tin a day almost at the end and im talking 29 bucks a tin up here in manitoba. Anyways, im a husband and father of 5 awesome kids. My oldest is turning 8 in march and my two youngest are twin girls of 16 months old. Im embarassed to say ive been hiding my dipping for 3 years and to this day my wife still doesnt know. Anyways, here i am day 3 and feeling good and is such a relief to have people i can talk to about my addiction. Thanks for quitting with me brothers!!

Today is day 4 with no dip. I have been dipping for the past 23 years. I actually took the day off of work on Friday so I would not loose it and gave myself the weekend to fight through withdrawals. So far not too bad. Had really bad head aches yesterday, but this morning they were gone. I also noticed I am really thirsty now. Well to all 'yall that are quitting, and to those that have quit, I say keep up the good fight. I will be back tomorrow.

Nice job Cantrap. Holy crap $29 bucks a tin. Glad to see you posting up.

Yeah aside from the addiction killing me, the cost was killing me also. Im so glad to say 4 days are gone dip free. Will be posting roll (hopefully correctly) for day 5 tomorrow morning, and excited to do it! Thanks for quitting with me fellas!
-
Welcome Cantrap. You're in the right place to be free of that crap. Glad to be quit with you.

Day 5, had some serious cravings this morning while at work... seemed like they lasted forever. Managed to get through them. Didnt even break out the jakes or smokey mtn yet. I was close though! Im quit with you folks!
-
Congrats on 1 week today!
Warrior mode!
keep it up!
-
Thanks Chickdip! Its getting better by the day!

Well here we are day 16. Wow im still in shock of how this site provides such accountability that im still walking the line. Ive gad some serious cravings and eaten about 10 lbs of seeds 10 packs of gum and started in on jakes mint fake chew. I've drank more water in the last 16 days than i have in the last 2 years it seems but all this advice has made my quit manageable. Thank you to everyone thats been there for me so far, and i look forward to thanking them in the future!!
-
Alright, been quite some time since i updated. Day 65, and the cravings are all but gone. I get them very rarely, they last next to no time at all.
One thing about ktc that i thoroughly feel has helped me stay quit this long is getting involved in ktc, getting to know lots of people on here has really helped me . I've been very active in the chat room and made some really great friends in there. All in all GET INVOLVED and you will have a better shot at staying quit
