Hello. I have been telling myself I should quit for 2 years. I even made it past the 3 day mark but then lost the internal motivation and my muddled mind bypassed my reason. This time i took a leap and informed my family that I dipped, and that I need to quit. Yes I was a ninja dipper and only those that saw my at my drunkest knew I dipped. even those didn't know I was doing over a can a day. Work offers support for smokers that are quitting, but that is a different sport than quitting dip. I am glad I found this web page and for the support of my family. Failure is not an option, so the only choice I have is to kick the Nic and stay clean.

Haze - Great decision to quit! I chewed for almost 40 years and never thought I could do this. Tomorrow is day 50 for me! This site is great for support - everyone understands what the other is going through and we all quit one day at a time. Some of the vets will be on to show you how to post roll and navigate through the site. I'm happy to quit with you today! Let me know if I can help you with anything.

Well done posting Roll Haze.
Now it's time two go out back and burn those Ninja clothes. Or you can bury them....
That guy is dead.... Welcome to your new identity. One that will be in training on how to handle life without self medicating behind a lieing poison.
We're all here being educated every day on KTC... Some call it a crazy train.
Kinda is... Bunch of crazies learning to love the suck. And at times going for each other's thoats.
We also understood that ninja guy you used to be, and are now shoulder to shoulder with you and discovering our new identities Also.
All you have here... Is your word.
It's about integrity, and being consistent to show each member you are here to help yourself and help the brother or sister next to you.
We do that EDD ODAAT by posting Roll..... Don't EVER miss roll. Stay at 100%.
Next thing is to work at quit.... It's more than a decision and just posting roll.
Replace the time you chewed with time quiting.... For me that was all day. And at first I Lived on this sight.
Lots to read and learn here, and many ways to help others.
And lastly... Don't get upset that no one in your family or at work doesn't get it. They have not walked in your footsteps!
Come on in here.... We have.
I quit with you today.

Haze, I was a ninja dipper for 30 years, and even at my drunkest nobody knew. The only-give away was when a forgotten empty can would roll out from underneath the passenger seat of the car when someone was sitting there. When I would walk to bars or clubs while living in San Francisco, I would hide a can in a bush so that I had dip for the walk back home at the end of the night. The crazy games you play with yourself to justify closet dipping at the expense of relationships with others is mind numbing.
