Welcome to ktc. I see you said you had stopped for 11 months?

1. What happened?

2. Why did it happen?

3. What will you do different this time?

I am glad to see you taking control of your life. This site will save you. I quit a hundred time's and failed every time till I found this site and all these bad ass quitters that, wanted to see me beat this horrible addiction. 90 day's ago I quit for the (first) time. I have been quitting everyday since. I saw that you posted roll. Congratulation's on that, just do it early every single day and if you ever need anything at all just pm me. I quit with you today.

Hey there Bulldog, just try to remember about those below.

If not just read up, look at the information here on the site, It is here to help you along with the hundreds of addicts like you that will reach out if you are willing to accept and feel the same.

Be strong and remember that as an addict, never again for any reason....

or that problem you are having will be multiplied if you return to your old ways

We all should have quit for good earlier. Knowing why you went back to it will help yourself as well as others. Throw it out there, then don't look back again. Learn to post roll and shout to anyone and everyone if you need help.

Man, you really have to fix your way of thinking. Stop romanticizing nicotine and tobacco. I used to think that way, but I now look back on it and there's honestly not one thing that I actually enjoyed. Seriously..... nothing. That's just your addiction fooling you by hijacking your reward systems. If you keep fond memories, you are leaving the door open. You'll at some point accept "just one" to relive those so-called wonderful times. My best advice is to spend some time seeing addiction for what it is..... a pack of lies. If you need a little help, tell us exactly what it was that you think you enjoyed about nicotine addiction.

The constant worry over not running out of dip?
The disgusting spit bottles (unless gutting it).
The burning throat?
Having to avoid kissing family members due to a mouth full of death?
The constant bad breath?
Wasting increasing amounts money you could be using for your family?
I could go on.....

I'm not trying to be a prick here, but this attitude shift strengthened my quit early on. Read my HOF speech. Emotion helps a quitter........ but only if focused correctly. You and I are about the same place in life. I have 3 young kids, a wife, and I'm almost 39. I chewed and dipped for about 20 years.

You can do this. It gets much better.
Let me know if I can help you any way.

These are some bad ass quitters in here- listen and learn. Read everything in the welcome center. Read other peoples introductions- You will see that we are all basically the same people with the same problems, learn the path of QUIT.

English Bulldog,

I merged your two intros. Now, more importantly, answer the 3 questions related to your cave. Make them better and more honest that the last time you caved.

1. What happened?

2. Why did it happen?

3. What will you do different this time (and different from your last cave)?

Did you post those answers somewhere else? Quit group maybe? If so, copy them over here for posterity..... and so your addict brain can find them later as a reminder of what NOT to do.

Looking back through the support in your intro here, there are at least 3 folks asking you for lists or responses. I don't see anything of substance in reply from you. I'm not asking to cause friction or be dramatic. I'm asking because making those lists (or failing to come up with anything) will help you realize a lot of things about your quit.

Let's see some response! You clearly did not have a plan the last time and if you do not have a plan this time you could get similar results.

Answer the questions and look at what you did wrong, make changes, get serious!!

That's it, seriously? You have a whole team of serious badass quitters telling you what you need to examine in yourself, and that's all you have?

Come on, buddy, you know that KTC has the tools you need. It is up to you to take them out of the shed and get to building your quit.

Yep, we all smelled like that. I can spot a packed lip 50 feet away. Still don't even like being near, much less inside, my brother-in-law's truck. Damn wintergreen funk is overwhelming.

That's why I question the guys that say they were true ninjas. I just don't understand how it could work.

thanks for everything guys.ill make it this time.its actually not to bad except at work.the smokey mountain stuff helps a lot with that.

I'm asking because making those lists (or failing to come up with anything) will help you realize a lot of things about your quit.
english no substance = sco no happy. 'finger point'

Let's see some response! You clearly did not have a plan the last time and if you do not have a plan this time you could get similar results.

Answer the questions and look at what you did wrong, make changes, get serious!!
day 22 and doing pretty good.altoids and smokey mountain helps a lot. about a week ago I wasent someone you would want to be around but that's a lot better.i will say that the smokey mountain chew is a lot more messy than real chew seems to me.
That's it, seriously? You have a whole team of serious badass quitters telling you what you need to examine in yourself, and that's all you have?

Come on, buddy, you know that KTC has the tools you need. It is up to you to take them out of the shed and get to building your quit.
Did I miss something here???
Ive been wondering the same thing. Shirking your responsibility to answer the questions is chicken shit. 'pump'

Englishbulldog - My name is Tim. I'm from Camden SC. I drive a Chevy Tahoe. Married with 3 boys 39 yes old, started with Levi garret at about 11 yrs old, at some point went to Kodiak then grizzly wintergreen. So I had about 25 years or so chewing and dipping. I'd like to publicly thank stevemc for his support and punching my name beside his .it was my honor and thanks to the rest of kill the can for their support; also, I will not sign on for 200, but I will check in from time to time. And still use the mountain of info and motivation. Keep on quitting guys. One day at a time.

Congrats Tim, and enjoy today.
