I passed by this site until I read can't sleep in one of the forum posts.
Yeah Im there
I was not expecting this. I weaned myself like I should have and avoided the trigger times....
I didn't set a quit date but I got to the point where I just didn't take the dip all day Yesterday....so as to not lose the momentum I decided that was my quit day.
No sleep, I called in to work sick. I have an awesome wife......very supportive
I can't do 2 weeks of this shit though
Any ways to feel somewhat functional?

Welcome,
Read everything and learn how to post roll.
Drink tons of water and exercise.
The main thing is to remember to stay quit, you don't want to go through this again.

Congrats on the quit brother. This is a life long journey not just another fad. Don't listen to what the Nic Bitch is going to say to you, she wants you back, she will tell you she loves you more that your wife and man right now she is still sexy to look at, but your relationship with her will diminish over time as you seperate and just when you think your finally done with her, bam it's like a fatal attraction thing. She wants you back bad, but we, the Brotherhood got your back, get some digits from your group or whoever on this site, it will help you get through the Hell that you are going to go through. You can do this bro.
I quit with you today.

I am on day 66 and feel so much better each day. The key was to beat the cravings with endless materials put together by others on this site. It truly is priceless.
Some of the pain From my quit was removed when I learned how to get more sleep from others on this site. First couple of weeks exercise and advil pm was the key. Fake chew and gums and seeds sure help. I chewed Kodiak for over 20 years. There were physiological changes to my gums and cheeks. My date with dentist was rough. I finally accepted the reality of what had done to my body with tobacco. I went and saw the Oral Surgeon and he suggested I man up and end this nightmare and maybe that alone would end the issues I was having with plac. It was true. A few weeks after quiting the started getting better. I have an appt this Friday with Oral Surgeon to see if he still needs to do some things. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Hang in there guys. It will get better. Golf was my life. I lived it. I couldn't face it since July 9th. Longest I have ever gone without teeing it up. It was such a strong trigger for me that I can't describe. Finally today someone I respect a lot took me to play 18 holes and much to my surprise it was fun without Nicotine. It really does get better. Promise.
