All,
I stayed quit for over 6 months and got back on the rye so to speak. My wife and i are wanting to have children and the topic of nicotine came up and i need to do away with this addiction before i even think about having kids.
I need to nip this problem in the butt for good, i would never want this habit to be something my children pick up from me.
I will be joining the 1/22/13 quit group. I plan on this being the last time i need to quit, lord knows my wife has heard that many times. But i feel the importance more now than ever.
I look forward to getting to know you all and i thank you in advance for the support this community will be providing me with.

Welcome. Your intro brings several questions and comments to mind. First you say you quit (paused) for 6 months when was that and what happened? Why did you start back up?
The topic of nicotine coming up when you and your wife talked about having kids-- how did it come up? Is she wanting you to quit more than you want it? You said you need to nip it in the butt, need or want? You are dealing with an addiction not a habit and there is a huge difference.

Gummykat...this journey is hard as hell. I WANT you to succeed. I don't wish this addiction on my worst enemy. If I could quit for you, I would .
Post role daily and READ. Read the stories on this site, read off site about nic addiction and how it works, lean on the brotherhood here, use chat, get numbers, get involved.
