Been dipping for about 5 years. I'm 24. Always figured I'd kick it one day and it would take care of itself. Been reading through the forum and see people telling it like it is- an addiction. I am a nicotine addict.
Day 2 for me. I've quit stopped a few times over the years for various lengths of time. I've been wanting to quit for about 6 months but have been stressed by work and the uncertainty of recently graduating. I'm sick at the moment and stopped dipping for a day because of that. Then last night I figured, "Well I'm already 15+ hours in, might as well keep going." Feeling very anxious and foggy. I've got some spearmint gum in my lip and I'm spitting into a bottle to try and trick myself. It's all I can do at the moment.
Looking forward to get to know some of yall and fight this shit together.

DWTL, welcome. Fight the nicotine bitch with all you can muster. Live here at KTC, read, read and you may as well read some more. There is nothing like being nicotine free. Dig it!

Welcome. You have just made one of the best choices of you life. One thing about this site that I have learned above all is that you will get back what you put into it. The more involved you are in your group and this site, the stronger your quit will be. I convince myself that I am helping other quitters and I turn my quit becomes stronger. Get some numbers from the badass quitters over in Feb 2015. Get to know these folks and the vets assisting your group. They will be the rock that you stand on for here on out. When shit gets tough (and it will) lean on these people. Everyone here has gone through what you will be going through. If you need a number to help you get started PM me. I will give you mine. The biggest thing is don't cave. Make the promise to stay away from nicotine and KEEP the promise. As long as you do that then you got nothing to worry about. Hit me up if you need anything.

Thanks Jake and Grady. It's been tough even since i've posted but I appreciate your feedback! It's clear to me that I'm gonna have to live on here in order to get through the toughest parts.

Yep, I stayed close to the KTC my first couple of months, even bought a phone and learned about this texting thing the kids are into. Drink a ton of water, get some digits, and hang on tight this weekend, and don't be afraid to come in here and rant and rave.
LIVE chat in the right hand corner is awesome to use to get over a crave and meet some folks.
