I started using dip in high school in 1982 and it has continued on a consisitant basis to this point. I have wasted so much money and missed out on somemany opportunities you just want to break down and cry. I really hope I can make it this time and hopefully the last third or my life can be without this poison

No room for "hope" here my man... you CAN do this. You WILL do this.
Congrats on a great decision. Hang in there a couple more days... it gets better. I promise.

firemarshal3,
Good to have you here my friend. Don't worry about the past, that has come and gone. Deal with today and your decision to quit. (which was a good one I might add) You take care of today and deal with tomorrow when it gets here. The past is just that...the past.
You're entering a new phase of your life, one that will be tobacco free. The road ahead will have some bumps in them, but believe in yourself and your arrival at your final destination will be a pleasant one. It's tough, but well worth the ride my friend. If you have questions or just need to vent, speak up, that's what this forum is all about.
PM me if you need anything, today is a great day to be quit and tomorrow will be even better. You can do this!
Stay Strong-Stay Quit!

We're gonna do this. I'm only in day 2 and it's already getting foggy, but we're not giving up this time.
I've tried quitting before too. But never with a group. Never like this.
Hey, I'm a 44 year old man walking around with a bag full of lollipops. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to beat this. And so are you!!!

My wife calls me Kojak now.
I'm guessing the dentist is gonna say..."good job, but you need to brush 5 times a day to off-set the suckers."

Hey brother, the fog sucks. Just know it is a neccessary phase to go through to get to where you want to go. And all of us are going through this together. You are by no means alone in this! Look at all of us in June! We are a group that is a force to be reconed with my friend! I know you have heard this from other members, but it really does get better. Hang in there! All you have to do is not give up.
