Hey Scott. First and foremost, you will post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the January 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in January is that will be the month if you join us today that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.
Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center (salmon colored tab at the top of this page) and that will get you started. Read the information on how to post roll first. Then, go post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Wayne

Hey guys,

I quit 17 days ago tomorrow. Girlfriend told me today that my breath has been bad for about the last week or so. Anyone have the same problem?? I've been using smokey mountain and seeds but not sure what's causing it.

Thanks guys,

Scott87

I don't either, but I could believe bad breath might be an issue. You've probably noticed the rest of your GI tract is having issues from acid reflux to well wondering if you'll ever go normally again. Or all of the above. So it wouldn't be surprising. Might be worth chatting with a doc over, I think acid reflux if you have that ( it's very common) could cause breath issues, not sure.

Nice intro Scott... I have bad breath any advice?!? Hey, well its a start I guess. Anyhow, way to post roll today and be quit 17 days. That is some good quittin! Nice job. Keep at it today!

Breath... Now I am no expert, but maybe try brushing your teeth during the day, using some mouthwash several times a day, mix in a few mints or some gum between your Smokey Mt. Whatever you do -- keep the dip shat out of your mouth. That will make the problem worse and will kill you. Best of luck with the breath bro!

Quit on!

Could be caused by a small nasal infection of some sort, do you ever get a draining of fluid in the back of your throat? If it persists I would get it checked out at the Dr. An antibiotic will wipe it out if that's the case. Quit on man and look at your inbox for a message from me.

haha - appreciated. I posted and intro a while back, but couldn't locate my initial post. I also didn't want to clog the Jan '14 group with my problems.

I never had a breathe problem, so was confused to hear about it after I stopped, figured someone else might have some words-of-wisdom or experienced the same thing. Either way, not even thinking about dipping again, just wanted to ask the group about it.

There are some newfangled products that are designed specifically to combat bad breath. Derk listed a few below, I'd take his advice.

Also, keep an eye out for "deodorant" at your local supermarket. That product helps keep down unwanted stink from the armpit.

Hope this helps! Keep quit!

Just a question have you checked her upper lip to see if the scent she is picking up on is actually her own?

OK, sorry I had to go there. I would recommend regular brushing, I happen to find a water pick very useful as well.

I would also recommend you schedule a dental exam to have them look in there. If the Dentist comes out of there with eyebrows still in tact then your breath affliction may not be as bad as you are being lead to believe.

Out of interest, what Smokey Mtn flavor are you using? If it's Classic, that's probably the issue. Classic smells like butt.

I was thinking post nasal drip out of a sinus. Try a sinus rinse kit brush the chops and maybe a visit for a lil checkup at the dentist and get a cleaning. You may try to floss too rinse first with Scope then floss to keep from pushing stuff under the gums.

You guys are a bunch of dicks! Haha

I thought that it was assumed that I had tried the classic methods (I.e. Brushing your teeth daily like a human being). I also have used mouth wash, gum ect. Either way I appreciate the laugh, that's about as much help as you clowns are!

Scott87 - Today the train is heading to ice cold Washington DC. to pick to pick up Scott87. Scott is a single guy and a Financial Planner with no kiddos running around grappin the curtains and biting ankles. Scott choose his poison at the age of 16 and it was Skoal Peach. Everybody buckle up because hes about to show us what this train can do. He is bringing on the train, a strong why and a commitment to stay involved with old and new quitters. To pay it forward. Scotts favorite form of inappropriate behavior is anything to do with beer and steelers football and will be celebrating his 100 days with dinner with his girlfriend who has been with him all along. Scott will most definitely be signing up for 200 days and his words of wisdom to new quitters is to, read, read, read and read some more about your nicotine addiction. The more you understand your enemy the better prepared youll be to fight it. Sportsfan231 and Zeno have helped Scott the most on KTC. Scott was the first one to hit me with a PM. I didn't respond and he promptly send (paraphrase) hey, this is how we do things here. Get involved and get serious about your quit. Next was Zeno, (Eric) he reached out and called me, which was a huge help to talk to a vet quitter when I was 10 days in. It also made me more comfortable to reach out to other quitters by phone when I had a movement of weakness or to talk to new quitters. Thanks to these guys you saved my life. So many more have been there too. These two stand out.
