I am very happy I found this site! There seems to be great bunch of people here that are dealing with or have gone through the quitting process. I look forward to posting and reading for strength to help me with conquering my habit!

Welcome Nate. You can make this happen. We are all proof that it can be done, one day at a time. Check out the link below and then head on over to Sept and post roll.

Glad you found us, Nate. But, here's a secret: you don't have a habit, you have an addiction. Back up and read that again, slowly. Let it sink it. I was a hardheaded dude and took forever to grasp that concept. Once you accept that fact, you will be more dedicated to your quit. Read, post, read, post, read, post. That's how it's done around here. You're right, there is some great reading here. Use that as a tool when you have craves. Congrats on the decision to conquer the addiction. Now let's do this. See you tomorrow.

Welcome Nate.....You have been given some good advice already. There is a direct coorelation between success and your involvment here....In short, you will get of it what you put into it. Although, in the end nobody can quit for you. It has to be you that makes a conscious decision each minute, hour and day to be free of your addiction. Like thousands of other members here...I am only a short click away and will help anyway I can.

PS - Why do you have a picture of BAIT in your avatar??? I believe I could catch a nice fish with that. ;)

I posted my 30th day this morning with August quitters! Its not gonna be easy, but it can be done! Welcome aboard! Nico

OK, where are you, Nate? Posting daily is paramount to making this work. It is the foundation of the site. I understand life happens and things come up, but if you can't get access to a computer, you should have some numbers to call or text a brother. They (we) will be glad to post for you, as long as you communicate that nicotine is off the table for the day. Or did you fall off the wagon on day 2?

I sent him a PM with no response. Hope he is still quit. It's so difficult to fish when you are dead. :(

I sent him one several days ago, and never got a reply. Some people you just can't help, apparently. IMO, this once-a-week shit is not likely to help him stay quit. Nate was here yesterday, but I didn't see his name on roll.
