Hey Andy welcome to the site. I'll be 24 in august and have been doing the same thing as you the past 8 years, except with grizz wintergreen. Either way, the first 3 days of quit suck! We have all been there and you need to embrace the suck to remind yourself in the future why you never want to go through the first 3 days of quit again! Keep your head down, post roll and give your word, and get through one day at a time. It's pretty simple, just gotta execute. And it gets much better my friend...you gotta believe.
Glad to be quit with ya brother, if you need anything shoot me a PM.

Head on into Sept 2011 countryboy...the water's fine. I'm 33 and dipped for 18 years, don't make the same mistake I did. You have an opportunity to get back 10 years of your life that I didn't take advantage of. QUIT NOW and stay committed, every day; post roll, every day. When you quit, the cope devil will hit you with a vengeance, there is no easy way around that. What you did yesterday was "try to quit". Trying doesn't work. It's time to decide to quit, and face this head on. No more for any reason. Are the next 3 days gonna suck? Yup. Will it get better? Absolutely. As you batten down the hatches, remember what the first 3 days feel like and know that you are never going to have to go through them again. You can do this.

The most important thing to do besides quitting is showing up for roll-call.
Once you make the commitment to the group to be quit , you will do anything and everything to stay true to the Group. Welcome aboard , CBA .

If you tossed the can you quit and if you quit we want you to stand up and be recognized with us as a quitter. Doesn't matter if your quit is 10 minutes old or 10 days old.
When I quit in January the toughest time was the first hour because of the rebellion going on for control of me. Quit and give us your word and you will keep your word to us as we will keep our word to you--we will not use nicotine today.

Place your quit as one of your highest priorities. It will ensure your success. Post Roll first thing in the day. Honor that promise not to use nicotine in any form for that day. Wake up tomorrow and repeat. The more effort you put into this, the stronger your quit will be.

Great accomplishment, but your missing the point of roll. Roll is not a place to brag and reward yourself about a day well done. Roll is a promise that you will not cave in the day ahead. This creates accountability,
if you are a man of your word, you cannot dip w/o breaking a promise to me and everyone in this site. I don't break my promises, do you? So go back to September and post a Day 2, your promise to be quit all day TODAY.

I am a man of my word thats part of the reason it took a little bit to post roll, I wasnt gunna lie and tell you guys I was dip free then, when I said half ass I ment I was on my phone and really couldnt figure it out.

Another thing....you don't miss the taste of tobacco. Your body is not getting it's regular scheduled poising and it's pissed and playing mind games. No alternative product is going to taste/feel like the real shit.
There is nothing wrong with using fake, but you have to accept it for just that...it's fake dip. It fills a mental void and in my opinion is an excellent transition step.
However, if you keep searching for something that has that tobacco flavor you think you are looking for...well then I suspect you will eventually find your way back to the real thing.
