I have been on forums for years, and never thought about finding one that would help me quit snuff
been "trying" to quit for about 5 years now, but not very hard
Tony Gwynn was always a favorite player, and his death has made it sink it - I played baseball for a long time, and started dipping Copenhagen around 15, 34 now, and I really have no idea why I still do it
I use it in the morning and after work until I go to sleep, at this point it is just a stress reliever. Reading the pinned article "Here's how you quit," I feel like just replacing it with something else (excersice, sunflower seeds, gum) will help me the most, although I have done that before and didn't totally quit
so when I get home tonight I am flushing the can and starting new - thanks for any advice, thoughts, and help

Yes, drink a ton of water starting now, and stay close to this site. Learn how to post roll and post it once you are nicotine free and will not use again.

Welcome and congratulations! You can change your life by using the methods here. You gotta jump in with both feet, follow the methods here. It's really quite simple:
1. post roll daily, and keep your promise not to use for that day.
2. Learn all you can about the addiction- from articles, and other quitters stories
3. make friends here to build out your accountability and support network.
Start by getting rid of all your stash, and posting roll. Do that now! get some hours under your belt. No Chew today, and you'll be glad for the extra hours starting BEFORE tonight at home.

Dip is only a stress reliever? Yet you dip every morning and at night, and been doing it for 19 years? My guess is dip is a lot more than just a stress reliever. Even though I just did it, I hate when people nit pick intros, but just want to make sure you are committed to quitting. A big part of quitting is acknowledging what an enormous hold over you nicotine has. And then attacking that hold every single day. Good luck!

Flush it now and get started.
Also, pick up plenty of "oral" substitutes (seeds, fireballs, gum, etc). It helps to have these on hand ahead of time or when you aren't craving hardcore. Pushups kill craves, and they make the ladies swoon. Most importantly, post roll! It's our promise and our cry for help that we won't use nicotine today.
Get a good night's sleep tonight, and plan on water in the morning. You're going to be jittery enough (trust me).

You'll be in the October group if you decided to really quit. You can post roll there to keep you committed. Click on quit groups then scroll down to the October 2014. Click on it and go to the last posting on the last page and follow the instructions to start doing post rolls

Dagranger - I hear ya - I am totally addicted to it
but I say stress reliever because I never dip during the day, just when I get home - after the long day of work
I never even dip when I go on vacation or leave town for a few days, but when I come back and get back to work, it triggers me and I feel like I have to have it - that's my reasoning for calling it a stress reliever - thanks for the good luck
Wastepanel - thanks for the info, I have my seeds and gum ready - going to do the pushups too, and get into some running - tried to quit many times so I know what to expect, it just making sure I don't go buy another can ever again
thanks also Dickson
