Title: Decided to quit after 13 years of use
Post by: whitetrash on October 27, 2016, 12:18:00 PM
Hey everyone! 8 days ago, i decided to quit dipping after 13 years of heavy use of grizzly wintergreen, and straight....I am 30 years old, and started at 17 years of age...many failed 1 or 2 day attempts to quit over the years obviously had occurred, and finally i put out a date for myself, and killed the can....its been 8 days in, and even the thought of dipping somehow makes me nauseous. Obviously the triggers are still there, when i clean my guns, play video games, or watch the race on Sunday, but every day i feel better and better. Luckily i found this website before i quit, as it was full of good planning techniques! Staying strong! 'archer'

What they ^^^^ all said, roll call works, and quitting alone sucks. Jump in with both feet. It's free, and will save your life.

Wake Up Piss Post WUPP. Every day, Post as early as possible. It is your promise to not use NIC in any form that day. Quit One Day At A Time ODAT.

As long as you do these two things and get to know your fellow quitters, you will have a lifeline for the remaining days of your life!

I'm proud to quit with you!!

Nope didn't lose me. Day 24, and going strong! Just had my mind preoccupied with writing papers for college, and having my wife for support! ;)

Meh...

3 posts in 24 days is epically sucktastic.

Let's have your next one be a roll post in a quit group... it'll impress us more than a Facebook update AND... the real merit of this site and all these awesome people can only be had if you get involved.

Dude... at this stage, the only real way to do it wrong is to not do it at all!

Good on ya, now... make roll your new addiction. Get involved and STAY involved.

Rock on...

It's a daily 30 second investment to save your life, I'd say it's worth it.

Ok... track with me for a sec, bub...

A roll post on Monday, skipping Tuesday, and then picking back up on Wednesday isn't quite the "new morning ritual" you're crowing about.

Every day we post roll.
Every. Day.

Look... I'm not trying to be an ass but this place works one way. One.
Accountability.
That can only be had by making yourself available to it every day.

Every. Day.

This many days quit under your belt deserves all the nurturing you can stand.

Jump in, man. Jump in deep.

Hey WT glad to see you posting with the January LoEQ. If you haven't swapped numbers with someone in the group mine are just a pm away. That's how the accountability works. If you miss roll I text you, if I miss you text me. We support each other. I am proud to quit with you today.
